Martin and Ted seemingly have no relationship at all which is unfortunate. I mean come on, a father and a son need bonding. Ted has connected more with his nephew than his own son.

no relationship at all, or lost in the shuffle of so much going on with unrelated characters?

he has to have some kind of relationship with father, even if it’s a bad relationship.

Right?! That’s what I mean about the writing not being there. We’ve seen her in 2 episodes (maybe 3) and she’s been nothing but a character Dani turns to when she needs help.

we, as an audience, know absolutely nothing about Pamela. Married? Single? Kids? Work? Mob-related?

Im eager to find out more.

And has others have said above, Eva is definitely falling for her family…the much more sane one that doesn’t include her actual mother.

I thought she was gonna RIP off those buttons!!!

Breaking Dani's magazine cover could be seen as tit for tat, but I feel as if Hayley was displaying a bit of jealousy for Dani and used that opportunity to get it out. Hayley's whole cookie baking, neighborly persona is slipping and she is showing that she really isn't as fragile as she wants Fairmont Crest to believe.

Eva subtly trying to make Kat look bad for leaving dirty dishes on the table was perfection. She is playing very smart against Kat's animosity by remaining passive aggressive.

Earlier today, I saw most of the episode but missed the first 6 minutes or so.
When I started watching, Derek was getting ready to leave the hospital and then Ashley laid it on thick about how much she loved him, but it felt hollow to me.
Just now, I finally got to see the first 6 minutes of the episode that I had missed earlier today -- that included the Andre/Ashley awkward conversation after he had almost kissed her.  I didn't see that earlier.  Okay now her scenes with Derek feeling blah, make more sense
(I mean I thought they always felt blah together the past few weeks, but today was intentionally blah!)
I'm still disinterested in that storyline.

I also saw just now the scene where Eva is messing with the Kat's dinner table after Kat left.  Interesting!

Well yeah now I see that it is definitely the same Fairmont day today as in Friday's episode.  Before I thought it was a new day, but obviously it's the same one.

Rewatching the episode.
Fastforwarding the Derek/Ashley scenes .. blah. Sexy background music? sorry does not convince me.

Really enjoying the Hayley/Dani scenes.  Something I *want* to rewatch!

Eva listening in on Ted/Nicole!
Ted lying to Eva!

Hayley must be a good paralegal since she was able to pick out small details that Dani and Pamela didn't think of.  We got some fire from her, and it's about time that she removes her gloves and fights off that pathetic ole Dani.

I believe Pamela (Cady) is supposed to be a spa owner, but I could be wrong.  I like that Cady has a different stance/demeanor playing Pamela than she had playing Dixie and Rosanna.. and her voice is a bit more regal here.

Good 1:1 between Andre and Nicole.

Kat vs Eva is still bubbling underneath the surface while I'm glad Nicole noticed that Silk Press Sheila was at the award ceremony.  Usually characters tend to have selective blindness when it comes to things like that so it was refreshing that wasn't in play here.

I thought there would be another Andre/Dani hook up but instead he comforted her with a hug. Their booty call hook ups are slowly turning into love, just watch.

    • I did not care, just clarifying that was the discussion point. If there are ice cream bars in Statesville I am sure there is a full spa
    • Seeing Peter Bergman (Jack) and Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) act opposite each other really makes me mad that their short-lived reunion in 2012 was just that... short-lived. I've always loved the Jack/Nikki pairing.
    • No.  I recall there was also a mention about how distracting it was EOB's Gwen wasn't wearing nail polish as well.  That it was someone's pet peeve. And, yes, the fact characters can have a manicure in prison is the wildest continuity issue here.
    • Can anyone remember Mary Ellen Stuart's run as Jenny? I'm trying to fill in the cracks for missing stuff that we overlooked.  Bulletpoints:  * Dated Ross * Rusty's police partner * Directly responsible for Dinah coming forward about George Stewart (Cam's father)
    • But that's not weird... nail polish is allowed in prisons via commissary. Same with general makeup, haircuts, and hair colouring products.
    • This is DAYS, the show that said you could brainwash anyone with simple kitchen appliances.  An actor's nail polish or lack thereof should be the least of our concerns, lol.
    • It was not that she wasn't wearing nail polish, it is that she managed to get a manicure in prison
    • "We're Knot Done Yet": the name of this lovely podcast AND what JVA tells her plastic surgeon at every appointment. In other news, Michele Lee is reminding me more and more of my old music teacher from elementary school, and I couldn't STAND that bitch.
    • I apologize if this has been covered already, but does anyone know whether Douglas Marland was HW'ing by that point?  If he was, then I see what he meant when he said (in so many words) that he had inherited a mess when he started at GH.  Aside from Alan and Monica, none of that material seems very promising.  The story with Mark Dante and the Corbins is the wrong kind of predictable (y'know, the kind where you know what's going to happen, but you just don't give a crap?), the stuff with Scotty and Laura is cute but toothless, I don't know WHAT the hell Gina and Steve Carlson's character are arguing about and Rick Webber has to be the dumbest man alive not to see David Hamilton twirling his invisible moustache over how to make a killing off Lamont Corbin's declining health.  (By the way, "LAMONT CORBIN"?  What is this, "The Shadow"?  And "Corbin Limited" sounds like some jive I'd hear over on Y&R.) In a way, it's kind of like watching today's GH, right down to the dialogue that's serviceable and pushes plot along but says nothing about the characters' inner lives.
    • It absolutely was; the narrative was there, and they followed it promptly. Maybe that's back when women had babies at young ages?!?!?
