date: Thursday, March 13 | Christopher Dunn & Judy Tate | Phideaux Xavier

  • You can tell: Anita & Vernon have some spice in their marriage, and they look stunning!
  • A more level-headed Dani? This is nice to see!
  • Eva kissin' up to her brother, I see? But don't be into politics. Martin is scum.
  • Dana ("Sherry") is up to no good; surely, Nicole will notice her, no? Hmm.
  • Eva is definitely falling more and more for the Richardsons. Dana will not be happy.
  • Katherine as a "non-current wardrobe"? Oh that's rich. But yes, Eva is falling for her [supposed] father's family right now.
  • A second kiss? That felt even less authentic to me.
  • Oh, Dani been caught-out by Ms. Naomi!
  • The fantasy scenes! Love that we are getting these.
  • The photo montage is too cute for words; love 'em or hate 'em, the Duprees are a united front.
  • Martin, you are an absolute slimeball! If I were Bradley, I would be divorcing your ass for all you are worth.
  • Mmmm, Ted, you might want to watch your back and everything you and yours sip on tonight, because "Sherry" might spike it.
  • Trisha Mann-Grant (Dana) is delicious in this role. She's living for the material she's being given to work with and is rocking it out of the gate.
  • "Sherry" is playing with fire, and I cannot wait to see how bright the flames do burn.
  • Eva is beginning to realise momma might just be a bit too unhinged.
  • These stories are what builds character without having to see those scenes; this is what American daytime has been missing for such a long, long time.
  • Oh, an actual screen projection?! That's amazing! Kudos to the team behind the scenes for getting this done and done right.
  • Oh, fantasising that she's Mrs. Ted Richardson? And then ruined, this time by Avery? Oh, this is juicy.
  • Ooh, Ms. Eva!! You dirty girl. I love it. Realising Mommie Dearest is Mommie Dearest! So juicy. Oh so juicy.

I'm going out to breathe and drink some ice tea after this CRAZY GOOD episode.

She's not my biological child... so she better watch out!

    • https://apnews.com/article/school-segregation-order-civil-rights-justice-department-7fc5e2e4ef8e9ad4a283f563c042ae7c When the Justice Department lifted a school desegregation order in Louisiana this week, officials called its continued existence a “historical wrong” and suggested that others dating to the Civil Rights Movement should be reconsidered.
    • Lol.  I love that this board still allows misinformation from a bad source.
    • Thanks @kalbir what a time to have enjoyed the peak of the primetime soaps. Haha you’re good. The only complaint I have with Lorraine’s death as I mentioned recently in the FC thread was it was overkill, and all we got Apollonia. If a pregnant woman had to be killed off, I would’ve chosen just killing off Robin instead in some freak accident or in the explosion at Richard’s to save us from us that disaster lol.    Did Hotel have a cliffhanger that year? I imagine if Hotel had been soapier we would’ve had cliffhangers like the hotel catching on fire or bombed by an ex-lover of Christine. Peter pisses everyone off and is shot in his office. Or a major Golden age star like a Olivia de Havilland shows and tells how she originally owned the Hotel and how Victoria Cabot & Laura Trent stole it from her but now she owns it etc.
    • The whole AMC 2.0 pulled it together in mere weeks to get a show up and running, with scripts and a cast.

Ginger Smith seemed really passionate about being in the executive producer position, and I think she really did a fantastic job in six weeks. It was just well done.
    • I totally didn’t pick up on that. Just perfect! I don’t get the Maurice Johnson hate around here at all. He didn’t take me out of the scenes at all. I understood everything he was portraying. It was great. I do wonder if there will be a personality shift with the new actor, whom I’m still not excited about. Exactly. Right? I’m in the exact same boat as you. Agree with most of this except I never found anything off with Ted, didn’t suspect a thing. I just watched yesterday’s episode and it was one of the best soap episodes I’ve seen in a very long time. I was enthralled the entire time. Just fantastic.
    • Yep! Very curious to see where this goes.
    • I was confused too, but I think it was always a "tribute thread" (this one and OLTL's were created when their cancellations were announced). They just changed the show abbreviations to their titles spelled out, I guess to make the board just a little bit more uniform. I was lost, too lol
    • Well... I am. I think she's losing her initial menacing presence. Slowly but surely. I need the crazy dialed back. But as I said... this is very miniscule negative reaction. I am loving the show right now. We'll see how they'll continue after the fireworks.
    • Oh, I am so looking forward to the reveal about Laura's accident, and Nicole and Leslie having a real one on one.
