It's like I'm reading my own thoughts. I am very disturbed by the current condition of the show.

For some crazy reason it will forever remain my favorite soap opera. It's the show that defined my childhood. I learned to speak watching the dubbed version on the TV.

So I'm still not ready to give up that everything is lost.

Yeah it's terrible that not one story is working as of now and I'm getting really tired of every character being judgemental and hypocritical.  Sheila being offended that Luna has killed folks is just straight up idiocy.

Sheila and Luna were fun. That kiss would have seemed a lot less creepy if I didn't watch White Lotus on Sunday though.

Anika probably needs to see a chiropractor after doing all the heavy lifting in her scenes today.

I'll never understand why they didn't just keep Liam/Hope as the "supercouple". not that I care for them that much, but Thudley deciding to ever do a triangle at all with Liam/Steffy/Hope will always be a head scratcher to me...

I thought their scenes were ridiculous. Brad has two women kiss yet we haven't seen a gay character on the show.

I guess Brad is going to have serial killer grandma Sheila and serial killer granddaughter Luna cause havoc in LA. Whoopi Not!

Hope...

Switching gears for a bit, I have a very nosy question, that's probably none of my business, but I'm curious none the less. I went down a bit of a rabbit hole into Kimberlin Brown's instagram page, and she had posted a video December 2023, that her youngest son and his wife were expecting a baby boy in June 2024. She's never posted any pictures of her first grandson (I think it's her first at least) so I was just wondering if anyone knows if everything went ok.....IDK, I'm probably a bit paranoid, but she seems to post often, though her son may have told her not to post any baby pictures.....

When Sheila was initially killed off, she was leaving LA to be closer to her son and grandson, but Bradley brought her back.

Bradley has become a mixture of Ron Carlivati, Josh Griffith and Megan Mctavish.

He has no vision for this show, much less stories, so he uses his crush of craziness to create plots.

That's it??? They went through all of that trouble with Operation Carter only for Daphne to get through to him so he can agree to give back the company? I didn't mind the pacing of it though in the home stretch it really did feel like Brad felt it was an afterthought. Still, I was not expecting an abrupt ending like that. At least it is going to have fallout from Hope's reaction to Hope/Carter/Daphne to Steffy being Steffy.

And speaking of abrupt, smh at Bill getting Luna pardoned. Does he have the power? Yes. But that was clearly seat-of-your-pants writing because if he had it, I would think he had used it a while ago. And now he has turned Luna loose? Lord...lol. But I did like having the smug look wiped off Ridge's face. I also loved Li being...Li. (choke her again! choke her for me! hehe). And I actually did like Luna vs Poppy...the one authentic note in the whole thing. Luna's throughline has always been her wanting to know her father. And while she's crazy, that does not take away from the fact she was right to call Poppy out. At least, not for me.

Well...it was nice to have multiple (and rotating) stories while it last.

Brooke to Hope: "Until you take responsibility, I have no sympathy for you"

    • Not to hijack the thread, but was that character Justine? I just found this interview online with Logan and see what you're talking about - wow!   http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/chat85.html

    • Where do you discover this crazy rumor??
    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).
