DAYS: March 2025 Spoilers

This isn't entirely a spoiler, it's TV insider linking to another website ..
a random feature by "swooon.com".
Swooon (with 3 o's) is a new "romance-themed" magazine that is a sister publication to TVInsider/TVGuide.
They do articles on real-life celebrity couples,
and interviews with actors who play or played fictional couples.

But sometimes the choices seem random.
They did a Valentine's Day feature with Jason Thompson and Courtney Hope
about the current Y&R Billy/Sally pairing.
Seems unimportant and I don't know why they picked them.

So I think this is more like "oh let's interview two soap actors who play (or played) a couple, and ask them questions."  Of course they'd ask Beemer and Martha if Shelle is endgame, but that's just a question you'd expect.

(It seems that the Shawn/Jada pairing may continue in some form for a while, as there was a Beemer/Cantu photoshoot for the 60th anniversary in November.)

The full article mentions a few points of the interview-  Here's the link:
https://www.swooon.com/1181593/days-of-our-lives-shawn-belle-romance-brandon-beemer-martha-madison/

The actual interview is a 21-minute video, which was embedded inside the article, but hard to see unless you disable adblocker, etc.
It's 21 minutes of discussion of many topics, when they first began working together, stuff about their lives, past storylines, Drake Hogestyn, DAYS supercouples of the past, where their characters might be headed. And what it's like being recasts.

They also put it up on the swooon youtube channel below...

Emily O’Brien interview.
https://soaps.sheknows.com/days-of-our-lives/news/772809/theresa-back-tate-baby/

Quoting snippets of what Ms. O’Brien said.
(Omitting all the commentary of the article author)

O’Brien was surprised that Days was bringing back Theresa.
“We shot this last summer — I think July — and I’d gotten a call in maybe April, May, somewhere around there, ‘Are you interested in coming back? There’s something we wanna have you come in for as Theresa.’
“They told me it was only gonna be however long it was gonna be in the storyline around it. So I said, ‘Yeah, sure,’ and there I was, back in the wig, back in the heels, back in Salem.”

But If you think Theresa’s coming out of prison having softened on the Holly/Tate relationship, think again.
“I don’t think she would ever ease up on that,” O’Brien makes clear. “No, she has always put her foot down about what she thinks of Holly, and how serious she is about making sure that they do not have any sort of romantic relationship again.” But, she chuckles, “there’s only so much you can do when you’re in prison, right?”

Brady, O’Brien says, has been keeping Theresa mostly up-to-date on Tate’s problems, but there was still a surprise or two waiting for her!
“Obviously,” O’Brien notes, “Sophia was pregnant, so she just assumes, ‘All right, he’s moved on from Holly to Sophia.’”
As O’Brien laughs, “Now you’ve got this huge other factor, which is fatherhood. So I don’t know what’s better!”

this return isn’t about making things worse for Tate, but to support him, “and to sort of give her blessing about giving up the baby for adoption.”

Theresa gets some life-changing news while she’s in town — that doesn’t have anything to do with becoming a grandmother!

O’Brien will be back this summer as Gwen once again.
(Of  that return, O’Brien just says the storyline that lured her back as Gwen, “was very intriguing. That was what I was very receptive to. But I can’t tell you what that story is!”)

Is it me or does Theresa's exit sound final? It feels like the writers are basically closing the door on her as a character for good, which would explain Emily's comment about "tying up loose ends". I wonder what kind of life-changing news she gets that forces her to basically leave town on such short notice?

@Liberty City  just wondering why you usually use the soapoperaNews.net header photos whenever you post their weekly spoilers here at soapoperaNetwork.

That site usually uses *old* pics and not spoiler pics for their weekly spoiler listings -- for all their U.S. soaps.
For example: the picture of Johnny is from November 2024.  The picture of Belle is from February 2025.  And the picture of Shane is from the 2021 "Beyond Salem" series.

That s.o.news site feels a need to put graphics on their pages, so they just post whatever random old pics of a few characters mentioned in the spoilers.
But I don't see the need to bring that site's "whatever" over to here.

I'd prefer to see the actual spoiler pics, like SOD has and soaphub occasionally had.

I do appreciate you bringing over the spoilers.  Very very much appreciated!

https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/days-exclusive-charles-shaughnessy-returns-as-shane-donovan/

SOD says only: "Charles Shaughnessy resurfaces as Days of our Lives superspy Shane Donovan on Monday, March 17, when Marlena travels to Washington, D.C., with Steve, desperate to get answers about her missing husband, John. It’s a short stint for the actor"
(Then it quotes an old article from 2017)

(fyi, SOD used an old photo of him from 2021 Beyond Salem -- he's holding  one of the jewels stolen from the Alamainian Peacock.)

    • It will be amazing if we could record the skipped episodes. Did someone sent a list of the skipped youtube episodes to the guys that are filling in the gaps?
    •   I don't think they ever wanted Sprina to be popular and I don't think they will bring Spencer back until Trina is gone. They've worked hard to marginalize their black cast, and that is only increasing. Trina/Gio could have been an interesting relationship, but they would rather just whittle that character away and then write her out.
    • Daytime belonged to CBS. They would have been making a lot of $$$ with that lineup. For context, this is the lineup at that time. Only one soap on ABC (GH) and NBC (TD) which was still an anthology at that point. So it wasn't until the opposition added more soaps that they became competitive. NBC CBS ABC 10:00am Say When! • Per recent Twitch live: Wraps filming his new film on Friday. Begins a new film on May 19. Will resume regular Twitch streams soon. Has a lot of projects coming out later this year. His current project has kept him in Tennessee longer than he was meant to be.
    • Has BTG been using flashbacks much? Of course, as a new show there aren't many f/b worthy moments but I think they can get by w/o having to use/recreate the Leslie reveal scene. What other 'soap' tropes have they employed or ignored so far? We've talked about the lack of traditional cliffhangers with lingering camera shots. They have done a couple of fantasy scenes. Has anyone apart from Dana had talk to themselves scenes? Montages?
    • Thank You!!! @rsclassicfanforever and to anyone else who contributed to the vaults over the years. I have dipped in/out and gotten my life watching Y&R early years. I never would had the appreciation for characters like Lorie Brooks if not for the Vaults, so again, Thanks.
    • Another lot of skipped episodes to look forward to when the time comes on Videoland. So annoying. They have skipped so many, especially in  season 15 where they skipped 19 episodes throughout the season. Is it just me or is the vault down? It's like a different error message this time so it's hard to know if it's me this time.
    • thank you for uploading the rest of season 12!!! I hope i can get them soon the links down! Thank you again for posting the B&B classic episodes to revisit!!!!
    • Hmm, okay.  BTW, my only problem with Kai & the surgery story is where is this guy's family? And, another BTW, I think I may have inadvertently added to that rumor from last year about a male descendant of Justus Ward. You see, that is an idea I could really get behind! Like I would pay to see those scenes. And, true, I did hear it ... [sheepish grin]
