I wouldn't call TH "wonderful," either. However, the truth is that role isn't written for wonderful performances. for wonderful acting. For me, that means her skills + her looks is good enough. I like seeing her on my screen, and I can't say that about everyone on GH

And there goes ANOTHER piece of the puzzle. Now Rocco AND Dante are running around knowing that Cyrus killed Sam. And the possibility presents itself that the two of them might be involved in whatever is coming for Cyrus. And lord helps us when Jason finds out...

I admit that I did like the parallels between Lucas/Brad and Carly/Brennan. And Chris continue to do a good job with Brennan for me. But oooo at Brennan playing Joss like a fiddle.

I love how flawless JE played 'you have not seen the last of me.' That said...ugh at all the Martin vs Tracy stuff. That said...omg!!! So it IS Gio. And Lois DOES know. Ugh. These 'not funny' scenes Lois had with Martin had me thinking that perhaps she did not know at all. That way she has wiggle room to be redeemed. Well at least BLQ is unaware. Still...ugh.

As someone that has frequently pointed out that the scab writers rewrote the boss of Austin/Mason from woman to Cyrus (who paid for Austin's education and Mason's whatever from what I remember of the on-air reveal), I do like that plot thread being picked up since I thought he was the one to kill Austin. Though that part (the killing) was corrected for me.

Drew continues to give crazy eye when it comes to Willow. And CM's mannerisms give that obsession some legs. It made me wonder when Willow leaves him, WILL Drew go crazy?

Nina and Carly teaming up...YES, PLEASE.

The best soap rivals usually have that one (or several) team-up against a common enemy. So it was long overdue for Carly and Nina to do the same. Their rivalry has mostly been background since Sonny and Nina broke up so I was happy to see them coming together to go against Drew.

Uh oh. But still nice to see the Cyrus storyline finally start to move again. I was hoping for the Liz bait. Now it just feels like Liz has a target on her back. On a trivial note, which of her men will save her?

And that Lulu/Cyrus scene was chilling. Yeeeeah he does sound like he killed Sam to get Lulu to wake up for sure.

Drew suuuuuure is making the rounds of hanging with all the villains on canvas. LOL!!! Congressmen has definitely fallen to the dark side.

So Sidwell had NATALIA followed, NOT Sonny. The question is...why?

As nerdy as the Kai/Trina/Gio/Emma quad was today, I still like them lol they work really well together.

Cody was annoying today and his hatred of Jason and Drew still seems so sudden and random to me but I'm really interested in the whole secret about Sasha's baby and what it could lead to for all the characters involved in it. It's a good secret. As good as the secret about Nina and Drew having sex.

And I despise Cyrus with every fiber of my being but I'm also interested in what's going to happen now that Danny's confronted him. This could lead to a good, big sweeps explosion.

Sonny/Natalia... Skip.

I thought today was mostly enjoyable...Sonny and Natalia were mainly a snore though. As were Curtis, Jordan and Sidwell.

I'm interested in how it will play out with Sasha and Jason now that he has agreed to let everyone believe that he is the father of the baby. I'm also glad that Jason specifically wants Danny to know that he is not the father even though they won;t be telling Danny that Michael is.

I liked the scenes with the Kai/Trina/Gio/Emma quad, same with Kristina and Lucky, Liz and Isaiah at Charlie's

Can't wait to see what will happen tomorrow with Danny, Jason and Cyrus at Charlie's and glad they have a crowd of the above mentioned and Martin.

Oh I knew it was coming when Cyrus was in the frame when Emma and Kai took their selfie but I did like that it was their selfie that tipped off Danny as to Cyrus' whereabouts. However it was also a bit weird that Danny was right in the middle of a somewhat tense conversation with Rocco and yet conveniently took the time to immediately look at Kai's post when the text notification came through and announce that he was going to Charlie's. I think it would have worked better if Danny had seen the post after he finished talking with Rocco and taken off unannounced, with Rocco later seeing it on his own phone and realising where Danny had gone so he could tell Jason and Sasha.

I'm glad that Felicia appeared to be giving Cody a new perspective so hopefully his dark turn won't last much longer.

And I wonder what will happen tomorrow to stop Nina from telling Willow that she was sleeping with Drew lol.

    • Shouldn't it be the other way? I don't think Taylor Hayes is playing Rebecca Budig.

    • And the most detailed discussion I've seen from an industry figure about some of JFP's worst choices as a producer (steamrolling over writers) was from another woman, Megan McTavish.
    • IMDb is definitely incorrect, because the final week of episodes in 1974 is uploaded to Youtube in audio form, and Mark and Laurie are there until the very end. The last episode shows Mark going back to the priesthood. I looked at the newspaper and the earliest reference to their house being haunted by Georgina is in December of 1973. This is dated Dec 14, but this same synopsis ran in the papers until the end of December in other publications. So it must have been within those last 3-4 months. I think Stephanie Braxton joined around 1969-1970 so that's probably right. I saw it stated in other newspapers that David Gale joined around September 1972.

    • Opal having siblings could add to the story. However, it raises questions about Tad's adoption. Why were the Martins allowed to adopt him if Tad had aunts or uncles who could have cared for him?  Logic limited the number of possible Gardner's (and whatever Opal's maiden name was).  Even though Linda Thorson would have been a hysterical choice given her British accent.  Especially because SOD often published questions by readers who wondered why Tad and Jenny didn't speak like their mother.   All of which is still not an excuse for Tad's evil doppelgänger Ted.
    • And if I remember correctly, at one point, they were considering having Linda Thorson play Opal's sister.
    • Interesting. Makes me wonder how the day to day looked for Secret Storm at this point in the run. This seems very to deal with the psychological aspect, I guess the "inner storm", and the music is almost sinister. If this is from 1974 there's not much room for dates it could've been from as it ended on February 8th.  It's hard to tell from an edit featuring just one storyline, but if this was the day to day it might've been heavy for the casual viewers.   ETA: Stephanie Braxton is credited to have appeared as Laurie from 1970-1973. David Gale is credited only in 1973 and Alexander Scourby from 1972-1973. I know IMDB isn't always right, but I'd say this is likely 1973 - I'm guessing all these characters exited before 1974 and this might be a part of their final storyline.
    • Well, they were both involved with Ray Gardner.  Then, the actress left in 1980, only to return as a somewhat broader interpretation of the character after Dottie was SORASed.  By that time, Opal had left in 1983.  So, while they serve the same story function,(verbally abusive/neglectful mothers who make you feel sorry for their daughters), one could argue that Edna was the carbon copy.
    • Okay, now it's my turn to ask about the Thorntons, namely Edna. Did she and Opal have any scenes together? I ask because I was familiar with Opal first, so when I found out about Edna, my biased mind saw her as the first try for that type of character.
    • There is no dispute that Jill Farren Phelps had a successful career in daytime based on longevity, but that does not preclude discussion and dislike of her decisions at various shows. Sure there may have been some misogyny involved BITD(we don't know as I don't recall JFP ever mentioning that) but the head of CBS Daytime at that point was a woman and there were other women involved BTS. I think that so long as an EP could deliver, or at least talk a good game they would be respected.
