Agreed.

I don't think it's the worst story idea for Jason.  I do get @Vee's point about it getting old quick with Sasha/Jason though.  Again it's one of GH's famous baby stories that gives everyone 9 months to figure out what to do next with the two characters.

It would get old quick, but I'm still intrigued by it. It's not the usual suspect(s), and it's nice seeing Burton (who I am openly not a fan of) do new things.

I can understand that. I usually use a phrase once everyone else stops using it...or I use my own before everyone else gets to it. And then stop once they do.

My way of saying...indeed.

Between the talk about how NAC is awful for not going to a ex-coworkers party, people comparing Jason to John Wick, and the actual spamming of today's dialogue and photos of today's episode this thread is a rough road to find actual content.

Yes to all this.

When NAC was on the show he went above and beyond supporting a pairing with both Trina’s. What’s new to me is that this is the first time I have seen soap social media make its way to mainstream. About two months after he left all this stuff started which basically amounts to he is ungrateful to GH or their fans. And then it spread after about 6 months of constant online digs to mainstream online people. He may be an asshat, I don’t know. But the stuff I have heard reeks of soap fan nonsense.

It is not. But, that is decidedly NOT the point. None of us is set up to judge him. At least IMO we are not, his judges. It doesn't matter if he's a jerk, or worse, he still has the right to seek his fortune where he may find it. Now, I among others, are getting cranky. Maybe we could all give NAC a rest.

No offense, but you are one of the least reliable posters who often perpetuates online nonsense and inappropriate information about these performer’s personal lives. As far as when you end up having actual information, a broken clock is right twice a day.

I am more interested in Sasha and Jason with Michael’s baby, whatever it ends up being, than I am in Anna and Jason. I am not a huge Steve Burton fan, but he came back with the right work ethic this time. To embody the scenes with more emotion when they call for it and to lean in to connecting with more than Maurice and Laura. The show is so underwritten for character that I really appreciate he is emoting more than he used to, because the dialogue isn’t getting me there.

I will continue to praise the current team for one thing- I can watch pretty much every day and see actual GH characters in the mix. Even during Mulcahey/Korte, it felt like weeks would go by and I saw a whole lot of Nina but very little of the GH vets. Now we see them daily, in the mix. Just wish the writing was stronger, but I will give Valentini credit where it is due.

We should see more of Laura, Jordan, and Anna together talking about the issues they all are against in the city. Cyrus being one, and now Sidwell and the violence surrounding Sonny.

Pairing Jason and Sasha is like pairing any other two people on this show: it's not the least bit organic or logical.  It's motivated strictly by giving two actors/characters something (or someone) to do.

Interesting, but not reflective of my reputation in places where they value such as that. But, that was back when I was regularly doing that, which I am not now, and have not been for quite a while. Offended, but moving on.

Burton's perspective is very different this go round. In the past, whatever he personally felt about a story or pairing or whatever, he said it. Now, like a team player, or something, if the show wants his character to do a thing, he will not speak against it. Mo says whatever he feels in the moment. Steve used to do same. But, not anymore.

And, yeah, more emoting, who ever would have thought such a thing was possible. Also what looks to be real tears in his eyes. These days I find myself less critical & more a fan.

Same. That's how I've been feeling as well. But I have given credit where it's due. Though I feel I know what to expect depending on writer at top of the show.

Anna/Jason feels much weirder to me than Sasha/Jason just because of Robin.  It just seems like something Jason wouldn't do.  I guess sleeping with Michael's baby momma isn't much better but I don't have much investment in Sasha/Michael.

I will say I am probably one of the bigger SBu fans on the board.  I don't love him, but I do enjoy him at times and I agree with your assessment.  I think his time at Days helped him a bit?  He is definitely giving more effort, but I also think SBu seems to be enjoying a fresher approach to his character and different screen partners.

I agree as well. SBu going to DAYS and coming back as refreshed him completely. Moreso than him leaving to Y&R and coming back.

I think the same about his time in Salem. Not sure why but that doesn't matter.

I think Steve Burton has reached a point in his life where he is grateful to still be working in the industry at his age.  If TPTB were to come to him and say that Jason won't be a principal driver of story anymore - that, instead, he'll take more of a back seat to his now-adult kids - I think he'd be okay with that.  Not excited at the prospect of taking a more patriarchal role on the show, but content.  (Provided, they don't turn Jason into Steve Hardy, lol).

Of the big three in the 00’s, I liked Jason the most. I felt the show shifting from being Sonny centric to Jason centric after the Emily affair and I agreed with that shift. All of a sudden Sonny was allowed to be called out, and Jason was the only one that was “always right”. For me, something changed about a year before he left the first time, and I think his vaccine beliefs were a danger to his coworkers the second time. But as I said, he came back with the right kind of energy and is closer to the Jason that he used to be.

Finola and Steve both deserve better!

What is wild to me is they spend about 18 months trying to make several pairings work and then blow them all up at the same time. Now Cody is just there floundering, etc.

They've blown up more couples than I think I've seen on any soap before.

I just finished an edit of yesterday & realized one of the best moments in the whole show is Tracy laughing!!! Infectious, scene stealing, marvelous, I could watch it over & over.
