I am so glad Jane decided retirement was not for her, and FV agreed to bring her back on her terms (no more stuffy suits, and her natural hair).

It reminds me of Erika Slezak's unexpected second career in primetime post-OLTL when she decided the same re: retirement (which didn't surprise me). Sadly that seems truncated due to her recent tragedies. I'm so glad we have Jane and she seems hale and hearty.

I agree; seeing Jane just instantly puts a smile on my face.

Erika Slezak has apparently been working on a film, Song Sung Blue which started production back in October. I'm guessing probably a small role with one or two scenes but it's a good sign that she could be ready to start working more regularly again.

Was able to watch the last 30 and the Jason/Sonny/Tracy scenes were perfect. Jason FINALLY chose his family over Sonny. God it would’ve been perfect if Sonny had his heart attack right there on the Quartermaine grounds and died.

Very good to hear.

I just hope any rift between Jason and Carly/Sonny lasts and we aren't back to status quo and the Qs on the outs within a week. Still it's nice to be reminded that Steve Burton can act when he tries. A few days ago I was watching the very depressing Q Thanksgiving from 2011 where Tracy was at a very low point and so was Jason (she was being investigated over funny money from Gino Soleito and Sam had just been raped by Franco) - she of course tore into Jason and Sam (they didn't know about the rape) and he shouted at her, she asked if he was going to shoot her, etc. Never thought I'd see them in a meaningful moment.

The only way the Cody stuff would interest me is in this downward spiral is meant to culminate in learning he and Sasha aren't related, but they are still going with Cody/Lulu, aren't they (unless that has been dropped).

How long has the football team been a part of GH? Has it been big in story before? I know OLTL had the football team stories in the early '80s, which makes their being mentioned in some of this plot fitting.

Maybe if they need more new characters they could introduce a grandson of that football player Carla was married to - Jack? The one who couldn't get it up? Maybe I have all that wrong. All I remember was Ellen Holly disliked him.

Outside of baseball, I don't think football has been part of GH before this Kai story.  I'm sure someone will know better than me though.

Jane Elliot is the best. She's the only one on this show that can make you feel real emotion. We're all fortunate she's still on.

So much good to this episode. It was honestly a case of FV's preferred style of filming hindering it. However, the performances were great enough to elevate over said style. If I missed something, I did rewind, and my eyes rarely left the screen.

I mean...living in a sport city like San Diego...I can't help, but grin at the bar being so focused on football. And Trina's comments to Emma were hilarious because it rang so true to me. I know how I'm going to get when the Six Nations Rugby tournament start. ;) And I give FV credit for him continuing to find uses for that set Whether it be the bar to go to or it being a double for Prague. I liked seeing Trina and Gio together. I had actually forgotten about Emma being back...part bloated cast, part right way to ease a newbie in. As for Cody...alas. I didn't see a problem at first, but once he said he put all of his money in...smh. I agree...such a regression. I would think he was wiser now than that.

Liz as bait??? lol. But I loved the Lucky/Liz scenes. I was a bit annoyed at first because this is Liz we are talking about. She has a halo now, but it hasn't been that loooong ago she had an element of danger around her by Liason. Thankfully, they mentioned that in their talk. Their scheme against Cyrus was good and keeps Liz in that story. LOVE. But given what Joss did, it now puts Liz in danger because Cyrus will be more on notice. But...Joss now has a target on her back, too. So the endgame for Cyrus continues...

It seem like the last few episodes have been setting up for Michael's exit. But THIS one really felt like foreshadowing things for Drew with those Drew/Alexis scenes. So well done. I loved that Alexis basically said that Drew is being a self-centered man who is putting his libido above his own daughter. And he's also coming across obsessed. And it now seems to me that it is more about sticking it to everyone he feels wronged him than love or even good parenting. The avail about Willow is more clear. So him losing her eventually AND especially Scout seem like Drew might just go over the edge into Crazytown.

But yes, the highlight was the Tracy/Sonny/Jason scenes. The dialogue was so dripped with history and truth. Also more avail dropping about Drew. I can't say Tracy was wrong. Isn't Sonny the man who put AJ on a hook to get those parental rights? The man who shot AJ? Taking care of Drew would be slight work...especially given how he dealt with Wagger most folk.

And yes, I did get misty-eyed and jaw dropped when Tracy touched Jason's cheek. SB has been going excellent work showing Jason's emotions ever since he came back in March. So that was completely the case here. I had to watch him and Tracy twice. And the gasp at the hug. At the watery eyes. At Tracy's surprise that he took her side over Sonny. JE gave such a masterclass with how reserved yet vicious, soft yet firm. I was so spellbound. Moreso because the writers are allowing JE to show Tracy's layers.

Die, Sonny, die!! lol. Nuff said.

Ready for Tracy to rip Carly apart.

You have to admit that it is really something when you have a set that can be your neighborhood sports bar OR Prague!!!

I am finding it difficult to give a flying puck about Cyrus Reneau.

I just hope that Felicia, Joss & Liz are safe.

The other day GH fandom did 2 things. They judged Willow & they cheered Tracy on.

Then yesterday, Sonny proved to be the worst negotiator that has ever lived. He gave everything & in return he got ...  a maybe.

Now, today, absolutely everyone is in love with Jane Elliot.

Plus, Steve Burton acted!

You know, Tracy has never liked Carly. Despite this, I am hoping for a rapprochement.

You know I’m absolutely salivating at Tracy getting a chance to stick it to Carly tomorrow.

And I did admit that. Credit where credit is due.

Oh, I don't care about Cyrus (though I love the actor). If anything I feel they are stalling the story personally. But his end is shaping up to be (mostly) well-paced and coming together nicely. I hope this next piece means that Felicia is in the clear myself.

Fandom has been many things, but at least they are not indifferent which means the writers...for better or for worse...are on the right track.

You're not alone. I might have to slide it in before I head to work tomorrow. My body is ready.

I'm critical of GH for not being as good as it could ... I'm proud of GH for everything they get right.

That's exactly what this SL reminds me of. Holly was very dismissive of the story in her book as a 'silly love triangle' (actually quad) with Ed, Phylicia Rashad and Carla's new younger football player (played by Roger Hill from The Warriors, who I believe she may have been involved with IRL) but at least it kept Carla in the action for a few more years, and it was tied into the ongoing crime storyline with the Chapins, Alex Crown, etc. I find the Kai/Trina story much lamer.

Maybe if they need more new characters they could introduce a grandson of that football player Carla was married to - Jack? The one who couldn't get it up? Maybe I have all that wrong. All I remember was Ellen Holly disliked him.

Carla married Dr. Jack Scott after Ed, played by Arthur Burghardt who Ellen, Erika, Bob Woods and probably others all vocally couldn't stand. She never married the football guy - Alec Lowndes, I think his name was.

I do think Cody is going to be Lulu's go-to guy for awhile while Dante grieves Sam, she feels she can't tell him about her renewed love for him as a result (she never got to tell him she wanted him back before her coma in 2020) and they clash, etc. Which is fine with me as long as it doesn't ruin the friendship between Dante and Cody long-term. I do think Alexa has good chemistry with both men and that Lulu/Dante will remain the endgame. I don't have an issue with it but i'm still mostly fond of Cody/Tracy.

I can get behind Sasha in a smaller support role but that is not what the show currently wants her doing anymore.

Lovely news if true. That's a major film.
