Wiley was alone from my POV; on the January 8 episode, Willow stated: "I should get back to my room. I don't want Wiley to awake up and wonder where I am."

And my other question is: how did everyone know Drew/Willow hooked up in D.C.? That's a bold assumption. True, but bold. Especially when Willow's plans were to be in D.C. for Drew's swearing in prior to the reveal of their affair.

Oh, I am sure you are right.  I just really thought Willow wasn't stupid enough to leave her young son alone in a hotel room for half the night.

I was wondering the same about everyone thinking they hooked up in DC.  I guess everyone just assumed that's what happened and Willow/Drew didn't really deny it.   If you didn't plan to continue the affair Willow would have canceled the trip to try to save her marriage or at least play it cool for a custody case.

Honestly, if Wiley really had to go I am sure Willow could have arranged for Nina to take him and possibly actually got Michael's permission.  It's unlikely Michael would have said yes.  It just would have been the best way to go about it.  Willow's intentions were clear once she decided she had to attend.

I am just counting down the days until she finds out about Nina/Drew, has no lover, no friends, no husband, and no kids.  I hope Willow turns evil.

Well, I wouldn't put much past her. She's never been as smart as her sister, Nelle.

Well, didn't she try and not go, and Drew put up the defense of she was already planning on going, so why change the plans? And that Scout would have someone to hangout with? Messy, messy, messy.

I don't think Katelyn MacMullen could play evil; she can play nasty (as we saw with her vs. Chloe Lanier's Nelle), but I don't think she could handle evil. I don't believe she has the range to capture that. Plus, with the way Willow's been written since day one, she's too "good" for that. I still have visions of other actors playing Willow over the years, including Jen Lilley, who could have provided a bit more depth to the role. Although, I know she wouldn't have done it in the first place, given her feelings of being on that set and overall demeanor of doing daytime full-time.

I felt it was a really weak attempt not to go and she wanted Drew to convince her otherwise.  This story really had the potential to be so good with the addition of Nina.  It just hasn't been executed well.  The build up to Willow/Drew wasn't good enough, the reveal of the affair was mistimed, making it a love match was a silly choice too.  Drew should be still seeing Nina on the side.  Willow should lose everything and find out Drew was just two timing and deceiving her.  Now, I am sure the Nina/Drew reveal will be okay, but it could have been so much better. Obviously losing Chad isn't ideal either so I have a feeling this story will kind of just fizzle out and not have a great conclusion.

I think KM is mostly adequate.  I agree I don't know if she has the range.  She really hasn't been given the material to try though.   I honestly have no problem with the show ditching Willow all together.  There isn't much tying her to the canvas anymore.

It was weak; she was so lax in being all coy about not going because it could hinder the look of Drew's campaign⏤not the look of her marriage, knowing Nina had contacted Martin about divorcing Michael. Honestly, the concept of Drew/Willow was slightly intriguing with Patrick Mulcahey was building it as a completely messy triangle with Nina and, once he left, Elizabeth Korte & Chris Van Etten removed Nina (outside of mentions by others) and just let it be what it's become: messy (and not the good kind of messy).

Chad Duell's exit, I am sure, spun things a bit, but I also don't believe Korte/Van Etten and their team had material thought of in-advance that required much changing. Their regime, like previous ones, feels off-the-cuff and with no long-term investment of development of any kind.

Honestly, my ultimate choice would be for Willow to exit, alongside Drew and their children, to D.C. and to never be mentioned of again. The way Drew went from one of my favourites (due to the work of Billy Miller) to one of my least favourites is laughable. And, I kept an open-mind, re: Cameron Mathison from the moment he was cast. But, let's be real: Drew (like AJ) was brought in to fill the void of Steve Burton's exits as Jason (even Miller was a superior Jason).

I agree.  I don't know where you go with either character now.  They've alienated themselves from the entire canvas basically.  Sure, the fallout can go on for awhile, but I don't know where you take them next.   I'd give both characters a nice long break in Washington.

I would have a murder mystery for Drew. I think there's more for Willow if they play her as a schemer and bitch hiding behind a nice facade, maybe teaming up with Nina to notch some wins against Carly and the PC establishment, but meanwhile her resentment toward Nina builds and builds. Then I would have Nina be the one, finally seeing how much Willow truly wants to destroy her, who ultimately exposes her and sends her packing.

Not sure what I'd do with Nina after that. Maybe she would have a breakdown and start all over.

well...like mother (under MS) and sister...

The majority opinion.

Given that CW has been in the role, I'm surprised that the writers have not gone to that well yet. Those they have danced around it quite a few times.

As much as this pains me to say, I think Nina's future on the show might hinge on Sonny.  I wouldn't mind if Nina had a breakdown and was shipped off for awhile.  I just don't know how long this little Eva La Rue experiment will last.  Natalia doesn't have a fanbase and Sonny needs a love interest.  While they have completely dropped Nina/Sonny at this point she's more likely to repaired with Sonny than Carly, IMO.

    • If that is the case then it truly was a waste of time as I have not ever, even once, deleted or removed such a post.  The only thing I have ever done even remotely close to that was if I inadvertently posted in the wrong thread & marked it in the wrong spot with that phrase & then posted the content where it was meant to be.
    • Based on script (and script alone), it feels like they're shifting Lois out of story altogether, unfortunately.
    • Lois should be seen more.  Away from this story lol!  With a sexy love interest!
    • Lois is there to [almost] drop the news of Gio's parentage. lmao. And plus, Rena is iconic and should be seen more!
    • Hmmm...Stefano being Benjy's dad is a whole other thing I suppose. Pocket would be (most likely) a grown man now.  It could be interesting for Phillip if he showed up.  I totally get what you are saying about soaps and adoption.  The minute someone finds their biological parent the poor adoptive parents are entirely forgotten about.
    • Thanks for posting that. I didn't know about "Invisible Man" by Ralph Ellison. I knew only "The Invisible Man" by H.G. Wells.   I just spent some time learning about Ellison's novel.  Now I have a lot of work to do, to learn more, to read more.
    • Because it wasn't posted here is the ONLY reason you can still post here. Numerous other examples were posted here, including, but not limited to, your insinuation of a romantic relationship between two actors on General Hospital, the medical condition of another actress from the same show, and the death of an actor from the same show (which you quickly deleted as it clearly wasn't verified, and still hasn't been), just to same a few. You are the reason I implemented the edit button time limit in the first place as you've repeatedly posted something inappropriate (as noted in my previous post and above), got called out on it by other members, and quickly deleted or removed the offending post before @Toups or I even got a chance to see it. As for Drake, I don't care who the hell told you about his medical condition. It wasn't YOUR right to say anything about it. In fact, your post on X/Twitter at the time wasn't worded in the manner in which you were responding to the news being publicly shared. You posted it to break the news. You even PM'd me and Toups, virtually threatening us with an alert that you planned to post it on the Community itself! The [!@#$%^&*]?!?!?! Stop playing innocent or victim. You are neither. Either post as you've been repeatedly asked to, or find some place else. I don't care.
    • Also, I recall the old analogy Max:Brady as Benjy:Johnson (and I guess Pocket:Kiriakis - but, you know I don't like it when they undermine adoptions by calling the biological carriers the “real parents” on soaps — Tyler has lived with his family for a long time now, he is one of them)
    • Frankie Donner and Max Becker are no biological relation, but Frankie took care of him as best he could until Shawn and Caroline adopted them both, changing their name to Brady. Max was mute for a time. Frankie is Carly's brother, which was a later retcon in the early 90's that didn't make much sense at the time. Kind of like Sarah being Neil's daughter, which coincidentally happened around the same time. Anyway, Trent Becker was Max's biological dad. His mom was said to have died. I forget why Trent had abandoned him, but I think he had scenes with Jennifer and Frankie and decided Max was better off with the Brady's and left him in their care without Max seeing him. This was the original story in the 80's. In 2008, he was reformed to be Trent Robbins, played by Roscoe Born. It was revealed he was Nicole's first husband, never previously mentioned, and that Max had a sister Melanie, Trent taught to be a con artist. Melanie obviously turned out to be Daniel and Carly's kid, and Trent was later murdered by Nick, to protect Melanie. Benjy was a deaf kid that Steve and Kayla ended up befriending. The first of Stefano's retconned children. He left town with his grandfather, Orion Hawk.  Pocket was taken care of briefly by Steve and Kayla. This was in the mid 2000's. He is the biological kid of Philip and Melanie after The Gloved Hand (EJ, and Patrick as his forced henchman) switched the fertilized eggs of Mimi, who was married to Shawn, and Belle, who was then married to Philip. Philip and Mimi ended up letting the baby be adopted. As far as the audience knows, his name is now Tyler Wilkins.
