Yep. James is currently in the spot old Spencer, Emma, and Violet used to be in with Frank.

 

But at least I have learned to love James. He was definitely given more development this year versus last year when I loathed the Bebe's kids.

James Malcolm West is the best younger character on-canvas. He is precious. I love seeing him every single time he's on. The sassy little boy that Maxie deserves!

James is yet another child who should not exist but he's at least more tolerable in doses than Emma, Bechtel's Spencer, wooden-headed puppet boy Cameron of the bygone past, hellspawn Charlotte, the Anointed One (Violet) and paste-eater Wiley.

But yes!!! He only became tolerable thanks to the good writing he got at the beginning of the year. And I still stand on that. Cuz last year...NO.

I just think it was a choice to script a pregnancy for Maxie with Nathan's child, and then when Paevey wanted out, they killed-off Nathan. When, easily, instead of an insta-new cop in Harrison Chase... they could have easily cast Josh Swickard as Nathan, and avoided the
Henrik storyline altogether.
