Yeah, I've been suspecting that will be how it goes as well. I guess I could almost let it go since the feud didn't start with the recast.

Awww. It was slight right before she left. Nice, catty, and bitchy...as it should be. It even seem like her Kristina might be moved around Dex.

From August 2023 until her departure in April 2023, Lexi Ainsworth appeared in 116 episodes as Kristina. Kate Mansi has appeared in 105 episodes so far this year. Kate has made Kristina a force on this show.

Kate's doing an excellent job but the difference really is on the page. First, the writing changed. But, Mansi is one of those special recasts that are so successful. 

I don't get the Lexi vs. Kate Kristina posts.  Mansi immediately got lead, juicy material and Lexi got......to appear 10 times a year?  Lol.  You can't really compare the two.  GH recast and decided to write for Kristina.  It's not like Lexi was poorly performing heavy material or anything.  Obviously, Lexi's Kristina didn't inspire the writing team, but I still think that's more based on both her and (Haley Pullos) very young looking appearances.

I agree; plus, Ainsworth was a recur-guest (barely used post-DUD storyline), and Mansi (as you noted) was immediately thrust into a front-burning storyline.

Spec for the recast was that:

Yes Lexi wanted to do the story

GH wanted her on contract

She wanted to remain recurring

GH wanted Contract, so they recast

Ha!  I totally forgot about the cult story.  I guess she did get material there.  I may sound like I have the attention span of a gnat, but I found the DOD story to be bad and also really confusing.  Like they kept connecting more and more characters to the guy (Shilo?) and I couldn't follow it anymore lol.

I don't think Lexi turned down a contract.  I think GH let her say what she wanted to the public due to her long tenure with the show.  It's really hard to imagine Lexi in this current Kristina story.  I think she was quietly let go.

Having re-watched the first-half of it, several times, during Amazon's "live" General Hospital channel, I can tell you that Ainsworth was heavily featured in lead-up to the storyline and during the storyline, up to the point where Jason "kidnapped" her unconscious-self. Right around the time of her "kidnapping" they introduced Harmony/Tree into the storyline, and that's where is really began going off-the-rails.

I didn't get it, either since I was replying/poking fun at Joss and Kristina getting along when they were in feud mode...a feud that started (and vanished) while Lexi was still Kristina. Thus I ignored that part of the post that was replying to me. I think you know that I was looking forward to that rivalry since it has been a minute since there was a good young female rivalry on this show and that one had potential since it was Carly's daughter vs Sonny's daughter. I was even happy that PM picked up the thread with Kate in the role. But...woulda shoulda coulda. 

 

So if I have started that old debate...my apologies. Not at all my intentions. Clearly from the humorous gif. 

Like Carly, everyone has to be friends with and love Joss and her self-righteous ass. You can’t have anyone antagonistic with her for too long.
