And at looooooooooong last, LULU!!!!

Well, this has been a long time coming for me. And honestly, I really can't get over how much AB favors JMB. It's uncanny. And seeing her outside of a 2 second ending coda? Her vibe is definitely like hers. I see that Spencer fire. I feel that grit. And I saw that people were complaining about the fact that she was in a coma for four years and shouldn't really be able to move. Well, it is a soap. That said...at least the writers played that beat. And it was a good show for showing that Lulu has that Spencer determination. So worth the wait and loving it so far. But as was mentioned a few days ago, fingers crossed this is not going to be like Lucky's return where it takes weeks for Lulu to encounter anyone we would rather see her with.

Loved the Jason/Danny scene. And there was a moment when AA had that look that was hilariously real in the 'don't kid a kidder' vein. Well...at least he's improving. I still cite face structure.

Well, good to know that Lucas knows that it was not his fault that Sam died. And that said...so...someone did murder Sam. Oooooh dear...guess we are getting 2 murder mysteries for the price of one, huh? But it appeared to be a story involving Elizabeth so I'll take it.

I could care less about Kristina so I zoned out on her scenes with Dante. Though I continue to feel for Dante. And Alexis found Sam's will and the kids were left to Drew. Well...I guess the fight for the blended family begins.

Very. But heaven forbid this show focus on Liz or pairings that work.

Lol. IKR. AB played that sooooo well though.

Which reminds me...I love that after such a looooooooong time we are getting a Webber/Spencer resurgence. Regardless of the uneven writing, I do love that I got my wish this year and Laura's kids are back in town.

It's obvious, GH has been going through a major transition in front of and behind the scenes this past year. I have to give FV credit for making GH the best looking soap, from the sets, costumes, etc. but EK and CVE are not the writers to be in charge with such a huge overhaul/transition taking place.

Ultimately, I think ABC still supports the show but the budget has definitely been cut. Their daytime line-up is a mess and if BTG becomes a huge hit, I think ABC will jump on board with maybe rebooting one of our beloved soaps.

But back to GH, Rick Hearst and Maura West are gold together. They definitely need to lean into that. MB seems more checked out than usual, CM is playing Drew the way the character is being written. This is so not BM's Drew. Drew is becoming a true messy Quartermaine. Sam's death is not sitting well with me at all but it has hit the canvas pretty hard.

All this to say, GH still has so much potential to be a great show. With the obvious budget cuts and actor guarantees being adjusted, I blame EK and CVE for the disjointed clumsy writing for Laura, Lucky etc.

Look, I will always love Michael E. Knight.  AFAIC, he's the funniest actor ever to work in daytime; and his work as "Tad the Cad" in that triangle with Liza (Marcy Walker) and Marian (Jennifer Bassey) will always remain a gold standard for the genre.  But I cannot and will not support keeping him on GH in any capacity.  He (and Rena Sofer) deserves much better than that.

I also have in everything he's been in (and said as such sorry not sorry), but I do continue to feel that if we are going to keep Brennan around, he is being used the wrong way. But the only person who gave him the potential to move beyond a side character was PM.

PREACH!!!

Perhaps the hidden person (allegedly) who was behind the PM hiring should step in yet again and do this because playing catch up on the thread and hearing how block filming is already hindering the already strong start to this next leg of Lulu's storyline ain't it.

LOL.

Thank you. Tail end of November Sweeps and it does feel uneven and what would interest me (sam's death, lucky's return, lulu's return, michael vs drew) has been all over the place with no focus. And in the case of Lulu's...now I'm worried we won't even get her, Lucky, and Laura all on frame in the same scene at the same time. Bonus if Nik is roped in. Just ridiculous for a moment that has been years in the making.

LOL!!! Oh, your shade!!!!

Well when they are allowed to be around each other, I have found Gio and Trina to have chemistry. The only thing that has let them down has been the writing. They keep getting played before with that 'wacka wacka' slapsticky writing that I don't like from these writers. But give them an organic conflict and they are good together. Like the scene where they were outside Bobbie's and had issues over their opinions on Ava. That was good writing and something to build on for them if they were to become a couple given Trina's friendship/history with Ava and Gio's loyalty to Sonny and family. But alas.

We have no idea who murdered Austin and it happened a year ago.

From August 2023 until her departure in April 2023, Lexi Ainsworth appeared in 116 episodes as Kristina. Kate Mansi has appeared in 105 episodes so far this year. Kate has made Kristina a force on this show.

See I feel like that was revealed to the audience, but not to the characters. But I'll sure someone will come in here to verify the scab writing scene I'm thinking of.

Same. Thus the gif because they SHOULD be feuding. So them getting along at all gives me pause.

The only reason it currently makes sense to me and it’s something I totally forgot because they aren’t related to each other but MORGAN was both of their brothers, I always forget about him tbh. But yeah Ava tampering with his meds is something I think will always bond them especially if it’s anyone in their blended family going against Ava. It looked like they might move the feud to Molly instead and that works for me too since they don’t share any relatives at all.

    • I 100% agree but I think this is due to how the show is structured. It's a one family show which means there are no people in her age range that could be used as friends or contemporaries of her. The show definitely needs a second main family. I am glad someone finally said this. Especially now that the cast is gelling in their roles, he stands out like a sore thumb. No energy, no chemistry with anybody. He is just there.  I thought that was odd as well! The previous scene would've worked better as a tag for the credits.
    • That's the one and only Carrie Nye (Mrs. Dick Cavett) as Susan Piper, a deadly realtor. I don't want to spoil a lot if you ever want to see those episodes. She returns as another character in 2003. I think Grant has aged well and he always did a good job at being ripped without going too far, but he was never entirely my cup of tea either. I did think John Bolger was hot.
    • Totally agree. KKL looks great! It makes the Widge groveling so bizarre. Brooke needs to leave FC and with $B's/Liam's funding launch a rival fashion house with Hope, Rick, Katie and a secret designer. The best scenario is that Rick has been absent because he's been with very much alive C2, who is revealed on the runway as the secret designer. It'll never happen because B&B is comfortable just focusing on FC and the Forresters Marones v. Logans. But it'd been so much more interesting if the Spencers/Logans united.

    • Haha that scarf thing did go on a bit too long, very odd. And what a young Rick!  I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I just never got the physical appeal of Grant Aleksander, but he's definitely a great actor. Who is the older lady around the 8:30 mark, and also ends the episode, alone and in pain? She seems like a really interesting character. I love the smoky voice and sultry, snaky vibe she seems to have.
    • I can't remember exactly but I think she lives in or is part of the cottage story with Carrie. Carrie poisons her in this episode.  I forgot Teresa was on the show. (I see that AI is insisting she wasn't - well they're wrong) Poor Maeve. I can how even she had her limits.
    • It pisses me off that the other Duprees are making this incident all about them as well. They are playing a family of victims, acting as if Ted cheated on all of them. They should be supportive, but not like this. I have a family that makes anything that happens to me personally all about them, and seeing the same thing on TV is rage-inducing.
    • There are the makings of good Emmy reels in these past couple of episodes, but the industry is still going to favor even the most mediocre stories and performances on the older soaps. And with the pressure from the government over race I can see the academy shutting out Beyond The Gates to avoid criticism from the administration and the far right media.
    • oh, definitely! It's too bad she hit the start of a rough transition period for the show. She shines, but she's stuck with bad story and some (if not exactly bad) not great co-stars.  Uh, who did Maureen O'Sullivan play? (Sigh--and only if I'd understood exactly who and how wonderful Teresa Wright was in '86) God, the summer of '84 was literally one event after another. Kim's outfit alone must've been worth a small fortune. And poor Maeve. She looks so uncomfortable. Rebecca Hollen told a story on Locher Room where Maeve dropped the f-bomb during the shooting of it. For some reason, she wasn't being listened to, and had just had enough. As a producer, I would've been holding my breath as my pregnant actress kept walking around strange and undoubtably uneven sets in that long skirt.
