Ooooooo TEA!!! lol.

I knew there was some drama between MB and TB and also thought it had to do with the Alcazar stuff, but WOW at the specifics. At least he is owning it now and they are on much better terms.

Oh, I am sure they are fine now or that story wouldn't be in the book.  It was noticeable to me that they did avoid pairing Tamara with Mo when she returned as Kim, but since that character was a mess anyhow it probably doesn't mean much.  IMO, that was the best backstage tea from his book, so don't rush out and buy it thinking there is more lol.  It was a pretty interesting book though.

IIRC Parry Shen wasn't in the role when Brad was the scuzz trying to get Michael in bed - that was the heavier dayplayer they first hired, then Shen came in. I may be wrong. (EDIT: I am wrong, I just checked, it was definitely Shen! Can't believe I forgot that. It was so weird how RC tried to awkwardly pivot months later to Brad begging Felix to see the good in him after that mess and Felix trying to train Brad like a dog to be a 'good guy'.) He was definitely a creep but they did try to flesh out Shen's Brad considerably and make him redeemable once they realized he had more chemistry with Carnes' Lucas than Felix did (originally sex pest Brad was clearly meant to be just a spoiler for Lucas and Felix, not that it made any sense for either to get involved with him given his known history) and I think Shen did a good job and I don't mind seeing him, but I've never really cared that much about the character either.

The endless flopsweat attempts by both Ron Carlivati and every subsequent regime to put Brad and Britt over as the ultimate Gay Best Friends Forever, watching the Nurses Ball together and riffing on it like we were there with them, crowning her as the "Brittch" etc. were lame to me. I never bought into their forced merriment and was always deeply annoyed at the show regularly seeming to offer up Britt as some sort of sop to the gays, acting like she was some sort of gay/camp icon vs. having actual LGBT characters in major story or on contract. (IIRC, even her farewell party shortly before her death featured drag queens.) She was never all that. But I also just never bought her and Brad's friendship. It was always about the show trying to manufacture something (two catty bitches!) that should've been organic between actors.

Thanks for recapping Brad's trajectory as a character.  I honestly forgot about most of the Felix/Brad/Lucas triangle.

I agree about Britt/Brad feeling false.  You are so right about the actors not gelling organically.  I am also one of the people that didn't think Britt(or KT) was all that special.

Oh...pray tell.

Both Isaiah & Lucas think they're doing the Lulu transplant surgery on their own, only to realize they're sharing the duty, and it creates some intense tension. Upon celebrating their successes, they share a moment of profound passion. Yes, Isaiah would be a bisexual God.

Ooh, I really like that idea.

I always felt Cody should be bisexual. I wouldn't object to throwing him in the mix either.

Hehe. That just reminds me that we have a baby Jerome running around out there.

But still...it was interesting to hear MB owned up to what I had only heard as rumor.

I would love for Cody to be sexual period. This guy should be sexing up many people in town, and instead he’s just there. One thing missing from Valentini’s GH has been characters having anything messy in their lives. The best part of Mulcahey’s time was not just the sharper dialogue. It was taking three characters I cannot stand, Nina/Drew//Willow and introducing enough spark thanks to Watros that it made them interesting to watch.

Marland’s ATWT was a community, everyone knew everyone through logical connections. But they didn’t all like each other!

Isaiah seems like a natural flirt: Jordan, Liz, Portia, etc. he's got that personality.

Or just that vibe. hehe. I definitely saw it with Jordan from the word GO. You now make me want to double check in his scenes once my system decides it wants to work.

I agree. I saw some spark. And he was smitten from the moment he saw Jordan wasn't a he. The actor played that sooo well.

Amen to that. I have liked for sure that them New/Old Writers have shifted from mob stuff with Wagger to hospital stuff with Heather (unfortunately), Lulu, Brad, injured folk.

Yep, yep. If we can't have Zeke, we got another good one at least.

General Hospital (the place) is the heart of this soap, and I'm happy Patrick Mulcahey was slowly beginning bringing the heart back.
