Members ericlizafan
I'm not counting the Oilers out...but it will be alot tougher for them with Roli out for the rest of the series.
Members darraholic
Here's hoping for a Game 2 win tonight for the Oilers. I wonder who they'll start? I actually like Markannen (Sp?) more then Conklin. Boys need to score score score in order to win.
Members SpiritualJunkie
Yeah, I thought that Markannen should be replacing Roli as well. I guess we'll see... I'm going to the televised game tonight so hopefully, it's gonna be an awesome game.

Members KBT
I feel bad for the Oiler fans, I know exactly how ya feel since Tomas Vokoun from the Predators was out for the season just a week before the playoffs began because of blood clots. Without Vokoun the Preds had no chance, and IMO the Oilers wont win but maybe one game because of this.
Members SpiritualJunkie
Aww, man..that was an AWFUL game. I thought Markkanen did pretty well but we couldn't get the puck past Ward! Not to mention all those stupid penalties we took!! And not that it matters anymore but it was soo obvious that goal by Doug Weight was deflected off his skate. Ughh. At the beginning of the game...everytime they panned to the Carolina fans or players, the crowd would boo...Oilers, cheer...Carolina, boo... It was pretty amusing. But yeah, the crowd at Rexall became pretty ticked off at the number of missed opportunities. There was quite a big of lousy passing and that one powerplay where they only had one shot on net...what was that??? Even if they had Roli around, they're not gonna win if they can't score! I'm PRAYING that we can turn this thing around Saturday night..otherwise, I think we're out.
Administrator Toups Posted June 8, 2006 Author Administrator Share Posted June 8, 2006 Yeah, it was awful. The Weight went off the skate then went off the stick. You could see the puck change directions after it hit the stick. Down 2-0 without Roly...it doesn't look good.
Members darraholic
I thought Markkanen was really good. Time for the Oilers to win both games at home.
Members SpiritualJunkie
I didn't see it at all...but maybe I'm just in denial.
Members darraholic
What an awesome game. Markkanen was brilliant in net. I hope he builds on that game cause we still have a chance for the cup.
Administrator Toups Posted June 11, 2006 Author Administrator Share Posted June 11, 2006 Great game by Marky and the Oilers!! We're still in it!! PS....I LOVE how the crowd sang BOTH national anthems. You will never see an American crowd sing the Canadian national anthem. Kudos to the Edmontonians. Members SpiritualJunkie
Edmonton fans are really one of the best hockey fans out there. I only managed to watch two periods of the game at Whyte Ave (everyone was soo frustrated that second "goal" wasn't counted) before heading off to a concert. But woohoo...we still have a chance! Members Jinxed Soul
I stopped watching hockey like 4-5 years ago. I tuned in this Saturday while flipping channels. Markkanen is HOT! It was quite an intense game. I actually look forward to tonight's game.
