Here’s what I don’t understand. Especially now that Blaze is on her way out: if practically all of the story choices  that were approved when Patrick Mulcahey first started head writing were disliked so much, to the point that GH is being reset to the way that it was before he came on, why was it all approved in the first place?

Does seem like more to the story...

Because Mulcahey is a "yes" man like Elizabeth Korte & Chris Van Etten clearly are to Frank Valentini & Nathan Varni/Disney ABC.

But, why include #Kraze? #Kraze was created during the strike, a long time before Mulcahey.

Add to this that Korte was in position before him. Was she just sitting there with Frank thinking of ways to disrupt what he was doing once Mulcahey started? Some of these stories had to be hers too.

The job shuffles, though messy, I got. It was attempting to group characters together into story clusters. What a mess this show is!

I was horrified by the show rallying behind a bigoted character. Getting rid of Blaze and keeping Natalia is just awful. Reeks of Frank cutting all the gay characters on OLTL instead of reworking them/curtailing Ron’s stupid Dorian story.

Yeah, this I also got.

While I didn't like seeing all of the beats to it...Sasha from model to Q cook...DID play the beats. And it was clear to me that it was about locking her into a group of characters (as a lot of the job shifts that happened under PM which also made sense) and who better than the Qs who have had a story/group renaissance over the last few years. It feels like forever since there have been so many people in the Q house. And that at least I loved. And at least, it was explained/shown on-screen versus just a character going to a new job between commercial breaks.

It all reminds me of JG doing interviews on how he currently see the characters on Y&R and while he had the character of Chance over there change jobs though I highly disagree of him doing it since he's been useless in his current job when he was just fine as the good guy cop. All soaps need the good guys. However, they also need WRITING.

I have no use for Blaze or Natalia.  I am just shocked in the year 2024 someone greenlit the idea to drop the LGBTQ daughter and keep the bigoted awful mom.  Does no one vet these stories?

I don't care about Blaze, but it's really pretty incredible. It's a firing offense or at least cause for major creative changes, not just bringing back Frank's favored writers, adding a few stars/beloved characters and hoping for the best.

Some more edited captures showing how dynamic the soap could look in post-production.

Your corrections also immediately make their great sets look even more expensive.

We all need to remember Valentini started under Rauch. Nobody likes bright lighting more than him.

Don't forget poor Rachel. They had spoiled setting up a romance for her and Scott Clifton's character which barely made it to the screen before both were fired. All the minorities and black sheep were drummed out for the Fords.

Something even JFP (and before her, Riche) often did well with.

It just creates more drama and dynamic scenes to look at... and everyone doesn't look white-washed.

I forgot about that. The whole thing is just gross.

I never heard of a possible Rachel/Schyler romance but I would have liked that

I remember someone saying that Amanda Setton not extending her deal lead to the writing out of Oliver & Kyle because OLTL was gonna do a custody story for Sierra Rose.

So AS' exit and bible belt bigots led to the end of Kish.

Internal Homophobia is the worst.
