I could handle Gio being BLQ's son if the father is NOT Dante and there is a good story about who the father is and why she did not raise him. I know people who found out as an adult that their mothers were actually their aunt, cousin etc and their real mother was someone else in the family.  The reveal definitely brings the drama.  BLQ was also off the canvas for long enough that it would not be a rewrite of what we saw onscreen.

But first if they are keeping Sasha I want it revealed that she is Celia Quartermaine's daughter.  Grant Putnam kidnapped Celia and assaulted her.  Celia gave Sasha up to protect her from Grant.  I wish GH would bring back characters like Grant and Celia for short story arcs.  We have lost so many vets it would be great to see some faces from the past.

Y&R, snag Adam Harrington quick! He'll be the perfect Chucky Foster or Brooks Prentiss. Plus, Sharon needs a man at this point. GH is stupid for letting this man slip from their reach.

They no longer need to have Sonny be allowed to sob over Stone when he just killed his brother in cold blood. It'd only be poetic justice if a sane writer came on and had Stone 2.0 plug a bullet in Sonny, killing him.

Also, aren't they at the Q's boathouse? If so, that's dumb as what mobster kills someone on the grounds of someone they know. My mind is also thinking of other small stuff like--Don't the Qs live in a gated community? If so, wouldn't a guard have known Sonny and Jagger drove onto the grounds? Also, a multimillion-dollar estate like that would have cameras all over the place. Especially, in this day and age.

And I am praying they don't have Kristina be blamed for this when it'd be illogical as she wouldn't have gunpowder residue on her at all. Furthermore, Sonny would be a sh*tty parent to let her take the blame. But it's Sonny. He'll mope, make excuses, and be forgiven.

No wonder why this show is in the sh*tter.

I think we mostly can assume Jagger came prepared in a bullet proof vest.  That doesn't make Sonny right and it's really odd he 1. tried to shoot Jagger himself 2. Did it on a property that his son and family live.

I agree even the attempt taints what Stone meant to him though.  Stone would have never wanted Sonny to murder his own brother just because Jagger sucks.

But, Jagger did so much more than suckage. They made him into a monster. Just his treatment of Kristina alone warranted I'm not sure what but in other circumstances I am quite sure he'd have been turned in to his FBI superiors & would've gotten into a whole heap of trouble. The behavior of the judge alone should have been a huge clue. And the prosecuting attorney read him for trash.

@detroitpiston I've been agreeing with so much of your takes lately.  I like reading your recaps. LOL  I also thought Kristina would be the one to shoot Jagger and didn't expect Sonny to shoot him.  So many cliffhangers to cap off a great week.

I hope Drew/Willow's affair will be exposed in a big public way in late October/early November - I can see that being a way how Drew loses the election.

Just a reminder, if you're posting about stuff from the past that doesn't really have to do with anything that's happening now, please use the Classic GH thread.  It's just cluttering up this thread.

I agree about the violence. In soap terms, though, he did deserve to die. He's just been asking for it. I was thinking that he's dead, a GONER, maybe  your way is what will actually happen.

I couldn't help but wonder if Krazy Kristina in the process of committing suicide will accidentally shoot Sam.

It was disgusting when they had Sonny shoot and kill AJ point blank in 2014 and not face any consequences. It's disgusting having him do the same to Jagger in 2024. Other than satisfying Maurice Bernard's huge ego, what's the point of this crap? How is any of this entertaining?

Yes. I'd be fine with a Dylan recast if the story is there. I always said they could bring Dylan back with news that Paul died while on duty. That'd drive Doug Davidson nuts but oh well.

I hope he has a vest on and the FBI faked his death, but I don't think the writers are that smart. This show loves to make the same mistakes over and over. This is literally AJ's death all over again. Sonny will go unpunished and everyone will make excuses for him.

And I am glad that I am not alone that Sonny should never weep or utter Stone's name again.  I just don't get how the writers didn't grasp the connection Sonny/Jagger shared and how Sonny shooting Jagger's brother would destroy that bond. In my opinion, I feel like it somewhat taints his bond with Robin too. Maybe I am overreacting but the scene was just icky.

Hmm... I don't take Jagger's claims about Stone that seriously because they are related by blood, but he could have shown up at Stone's end stages of life or funeral.  He didn't.  I do think Sonny did right by Stone in the moment.  Does Sonny brag about his good deeds with that too much?  Yes.  But about 5 people in town today knew Stone, so I move on.

I do think Robin (and Brenda) would be utterly horrified by Sonny's actions.  And I do think it taints the Stone/Sonny relationship.  Stone would have never wanted that.

I think Jagger is smart enough to wear a bulletproof vest.  He concocted this whole wackadoodle scheme to get Sonny.  I feel like he will live.

    • I totally understand your sloths concern about it and I agree with you. Let’s hope the show plays it’s cards right.    Further comments about the last few episodes: - I liked that one of the attendees was filming the scene. That’s realistic. I wonder if the writers will follow up with that.  - Martin and Smitty trying to drag Leslie out was very heteronormative, so perfectly in line with them two as characters lol.    As for the future: it’s obvious the Duprees will come to accept Eva one way or another, but the rivalry with Kay should be here for the long term   On the topic of acting: the only bad actors I’m seeing are Ted and Derek. Tomas hasn’t proven to be either good or bad, so far, but he’s certainly mediocre and uncharismatic. He sucks the energy out of the scenes and I don’t see any couple of women ever vying for him.
    • I’m trying to think which actors VW were working with at the time, and none of them had been there for a while. Even like Mac and Ada didn’t have that big of a part in Rachel’s storyline.  And Jamie was involved with all that movie stuff.
    • Brooke did ads before ATWT too. That probably helped get her the job. After ATWT she seemed to branch more into hosting, along with ads.  I think I saw Kelley in an ad or two, but you're right she wasn't on as much.
    •   Thanks for sharing these. I wonder if Charles might have been in the running for Adam. I know Preacher was a bit of a bad boy at times on EON, but Neal seemed to be a step down, and Robert Lupone had played a similar part on AMC. Given the huge cast turnover at this point I wonder who thought they had been there long enough to go.  Laura Malone/Chris Rich would get a remote within the next year.
    • Interesting.  It seems to allude to that statement that Warren Burton made around that time about some AW actors getting special treatment.  I wonder who was resentful about not getting to go.
    • Good morning, boys!  I figured that it was time that our Gio was introduced into the hotness thread

    • Under all of Madonna's social media today there is this wave of negative, toxic, absurd comments by Lady Gaga fans telling her how Gaga surpassed her in concert in Copacabana. I mean... Who the hell cares? Why are these fan communities so freaking toxic??? I'm sure Madonna doesn't care... But still. Have some respect for M. Leave her social media alone. Go cheer Gaga and be happy. Why come and spew hate on M??? Crazy world.
    • FYI, again, Ruth/Letitia is not in either of these 2 episodes. So that concludes the 4 episodes I had from Nov. 1983. I don't have the October episodes.
    • Eddie has begun uploading the 1990 episodes. I'm so happy about that. I was mindfully taking a break till there's plenty of episodes I can binge watch when I feel like it. Now that 1989 is complete... I can't wait to press play on February 1989 and resume where I left off.
