Okay, my thoughts in no particular order...

- I agree Nex, that quote does get old (although the Punic War part was funny), but is it any more annoying than "30 million people"? Think about it. Or 'what is it like working with GF'. That's the same quote too.

- So, I'm reading that TG isn't about to give up Jane or LuNacy. Anyone else sense that?

- If 'Laura' was the answer, TG would have spoiled that. 'Laura' ISN'T the answer.... which works. :D

- Asked what makes 'Tracy and Luke' work... I like that. Not 'what makes LnL work'

- And he's 'honest with the woman/women he loves'..... well, we all know he's been brutally honest with Tracy...

When are the spoilers for, Hooked?

This guy should be gagged and buried.....translation--his idea sucked and was vetoed!!

The Sweeps Story you won't get to See!!

Back in Sep, GH HW Bob Guza had given SID a preview for what he called "something completely different" for Nov Sweeps. But the scribe now declares that the tale won't be seen...at least not yet.

In the Oct 6 issue of SID, Guza had GH viewers all tingly with the tease that at the end of No would come a story that he promised would be " something you've never seen before on daytime television."

Unfortuntaly the grand tale flew out the window with the soap's jam packed line-up of plotlines...but Guza promises that the ace up his sleeve is one he plans on playing in early 2009!

"Frankly, I've got such a great run going, I didn't want to break it up!" he laughs, "this thing I was going to do would have totally broken it up."

The scribe promises that the top-secret story will not only involve multiple characters on

the canvas but will be as different a soap tale as the backwards story in real time which GH

featured in Feb 2007, when Jerry held half of the characters hostage at gunpoint at the MC.

"I'm still going to do it, but not during Nov Sweeps. Sorry," Guza says, "I didn't mean to mislead you at the time. We just got on such a run that I thought we'd lose too much momentum if we were to break it up with another story. So the innovative thing we talked about, you can sort of backburner it. It's going to happen, but I don't know when. It might be Jan. But I'll give you plenty of notice when we do do it."

How about a little hint? Guza won't even go there yet. But he assures viewers that it's way cool, super innovative and will surely get our attention. How's that for a tease?

^^^ Well... again Guza is a whole lot of nothing.

I wonder if he's one of those guys who stands in front of the mirror every morning practicing his facial expressions, while stickies around the rim have words of motivation and self-love...

EDIT

VETS: Robin's wedding - Mac, Bobbie (Ruah wondered who that was, how sad is that; looks very plastic unfortunately); Edward and Monica are there (Edward still has that stupid hat, reminds more of the OD on sunglasses at Emily's wedding); Mike is there.

Filomena and Georgie reference.

Next on General Hospital:

Robin's guests assume the worst when Patrick is late for his wedding.

The groom, however, is in surgery on Anthony Zacchara.

Patrick rushes to the church just in time to see Robin's water break.

Grandma Lesley tells Lulu, Nikolas and Lucky about their mother's past with Scott.

Out in LA, Laura regrets having hurt Scott and the two of them have a good time together.

Luke tracks Scott's credit cards to Los Angeles and heads out there with Tracy.

Are the clips always too dark, or only sometimes? I have never really noticed, but I sometimes edit them while at work and because my monitor is a bit older the picture quality is bad. Ususally it's the volume I have truble with, sometimes it's so loud you can't even understand what people are saying so I have to lower it. Let me know!

This just in! From Soap Opera Source for the week of 11/10

Laura confronts Tracy about her underhanded tactics to keep Luke.

Exactly what did she do????

IA she is so used to Luke being in her world and can't fathom the thought of having Luke with another woman. I don't think she'd ever thought she'd see the day....Luke moving on with his life without her. That he choose another woman and her not being the center of her world. If she needs the attention go seek Scotty, he'd help her in that department.

    • Hmm, well, I thought yesterday was "Dialog City" so at least IMO it was well done talk. Today I'm all about how harsh Dante just was to Gio & I get it that he's so scared but it's all coming out like anger - and judgment, harsh judgment. But, what they're doing is putting as much bad, troubling icky stuff between Dante & Gio as they can & it's a set-up. Good writing, acting, directing, tho. What's weird is I only recently realized that Lulu does not know it's Gio.
    • Yes, that's the way it went, the dramatic beats, the increased info dropped. Actually, his being Janice's son was such clever writing, at least IMO.  Yes, I was of this same impression. Both were charming but the first ... more layered maybe? More complex? The second maybe less sophisticated.
    • His original motives were unclear and all we knew was that he was working for Iris. But when it was revealed that Evan was Janice's son we found out that he had fallen in with Iris not because he wanted to follow Iris specifically but because he had his own anti-Rachel agenda. Charles Grant had more charisma than the later recast Eric Scott Woods who seemed younger to me.
    • Throwing this out to the universe: finding Elisabeth Shue's episode of As the World Turns (which I guess would have been circa 1983, maybe just before RDJ started watching Search for Tomorrow).

    • I thought today was still good. Leo is always awful, but the characters treating him like he's a plague feeds my soul. Rafe in particular had been very passive about him, but today was wonderful seeing him put Leo on notice. I really think it's being written that Javi is going to have to eventually take the blinders off and see Leo for who he really is. Them having sex on Gabi's desk made me want to explode. Roman taking in stray Doug was nice to see. And the mention of Frankie and Max was unexpected, but good to know they're at least being thought of. Tate being petty and a bit vindictive by going back to Sophia's as soon as he saw Doug with Holly was entertaining for me. I think I actually like Tate the most out of all of them because he's so damn messy.  Is Holly about to be kidnapped? Her first time? Also, Gabi finally revealing what happened with her the night EJ was shot and the clearing of all the other main suspects, but Johnny made this still feel like an important episode. I think Johnny will be cleared soon enough leaving everybody at a loss for the hell shot EJ. How the real shooter will be revealed is going to be interesting.  Speculation: When Kristen finally puts together that her daughter Rachel shot him, she'll agree to frame her mother for the crime, while keeping her hidden away from Salem.
    • That would have saved the Anita singing segment -- having her by herself, singing quietly and reflectively. Belting it out like she was in church did not work. The black screens fade at the end was a mistake. BTG insists on being different with these fades for the sake of being different, and it's not working.   I thought all of that was just fine. Worked for me.   I'm going to disagree with this. Martin hasn't had many scenes with his parents, but he's been around family A LOT -- and that's what matters. We also know Martin is someone with a hair trigger response. He can be very emotional when discussing an issue before getting to the logic and reason of it all.
    • My view of Evan is that he's smart but not as smart as he thinks he is, not a good guy but not an entirely bad guy - he's a lot of things, the show never quite knowing what to do with them. I never saw him as Iris' follower because Iris always seemed a bit in over her head from the start.
    • She was the Town Historian, who knew a bit too much about Brandon and the infamous cottage.  SF was still a pretty normal place at that time, with Nola and Reva being the most outrageous citizens....seems that Carrie Pipper would have stood out a bit more for people.
