I suspect you are right. Someone who knows said it was not their story to tell. I feel like if he'd been fired, they'd have just said so. 

Maybe Ava has guilt because she turned on Julian before Sonny killed him. Maybe in her mind she blames Alexis because if she didnt leave him, he would still be here. Maybe she is gaslighting Sonny too because he caused Julian's death.

Everyone suddenly bringing up that Ava is a cold blooded killer herself seems like a set-up for Ava to get her comeuppance and die. Otherwise, I can’t see what this is building to. Ava’s literally collecting enemies left and right.

Agree. It's like when Esme got called every name but her real one for a period of time. I was giggling, but it was a shock when someone here would use her real name. Same for Wagger.

Well more fool Patrick if he went into that situation thinking otherwise.

This man has been involved in daytime for years and must have many connections in the biz. Reaching out to a few of them would have given him a clear indication of the working environment and what to expect

It's like people who go on reality shows and then complain about how they were portrayed.

So unless he was made promises that weren't kept (have them in writing) I can't see why things would have been different.

We'll probably never know the real story.

What cracks me up are the fans claiming this is so inexplicable for Ava, the writing doesn't make sense, etc. but when confronted by all she's done since there's just a lot of platitudes about her 'growth'. How has she grown? AFAIC the character has never stopped being bad news, they just started writing her too soft to keep her on the show. I think her behavior is classic Ava.
