Adam Gregory (allegedly) didn't want to do kissing scenes, but he was okay portraying a reality show contestant who was accused of sexual assault on "L&O: SVU"?  Sigh.  My fellow Christians really can tire me out sometimes, lol.

Again: you will not go to Hell if you are an actor and you so much as kiss someone on camera!  If you're letting your faith dictate your acting career to that degree, then what are you even doing in the business?

I didn't say it wasn't a soap... I'm just saying no actor should be made to do anything they're not comfortable doing. People getting butt-hurt over a female actor not performing a sex scene concern me.

He sucked and couldn't act his way out of a paper bag.. Bradley Bell has a type.

For me, the problem isn't that she won't perform a sex scene.  (And by the way, could we please stop making it sound as if we're begging JS and AS to do hardcore porn, lol?). It's that neither she nor her on-screen husband give us anything in the way of romance.  Even a handshake is seemingly "off limits" to those two.  Naturally, when it's THAT chaste, the lack of love scenes becomes all the more noticeable.

If I’m perfectly honest, I don’t buy any of BLQ’s relationships on the show (romantic or not) and have never really felt she’s fit in that well. That would be my first reason why I wouldn’t be troubled by a recast, not necessarily because of her uncomfortableness with doing love scenes.

Chase, I’d kill off in a heartbeat with the rest of his useless family.

Maxim, this remake comes off very passive-aggressive and I don’t think there’s any need for that in this chain. Not sure if that is your intention, but it comes off that way.

I see a spirited discourse here where everyone has a valid point, and I don’t think anyone has been personally attacked just yet.

You can support someone all you want, no one is stopping you. To suggest multiple people lack comprehension skills and need to read something several times is another issue entirely. At the end of the day, it’s fine for us all to agree to disagree without implying something else entirely.

This has gotten to be ridiculous. It has nothing at all to do with sexual harassment. That is an issue that can & should be remedied. All any of us is saying is that if you are not willing to pretend to have sex then you have no business being an actor. Most jobs do not require you to pretend this. Get another job!

No. This is something YOU read into it. Not what I meant. What I meant was... I myself sometimes read some things multiple times to understand the deeper meaning. You project negativity into my words and that is your issue. Not mine. Please don't drag me into a baseless argument. I have no time or energy for this. I haven't said anything bad or passive aggressive.

When I read something I love, I can say that I support it and that I think people should read it multiple times to Understand. That's all. I don't understand what your issue is exactly, but you are overreacting. And I don't get why changing the subject to policing me about my tone and your perceived passive aggressiveness is useful in this topic. Can you move on? I really am in no mood for things like this.

I'll be honest, @Maxim your comments are pretty disparaging towards people that disagree with your "take".  We don't need to read a simple paragraph multiple times to understand.

Anyhow, this talk about Chase/Brook Lynn is 1000 times more exciting then the actual couple is lol.

So is mine. I actually don't know who the multiple people are since a lot of them are in my ignore function. I am quoting and responding to what Liberty said.

Let's move on, shall we? Not lose admins's time with stupid off topic rants?

OK. I didn't realize me saying that some people may need to read something couple of times to understand the deeper meaning, meant in a positive way... Was going to trigger now... Near panic attacks and people in meltdowns.  Calm down, girls. I was not even referring to anyone here. Actually. You took my words like I was talking about you, when I wasn't.

I was talking about anyone Reading the forum and reading what Liberty said. I meant to say that what he wrote was Important to me.

It was no different when Steve refused to play a romantic lead for decades. No one is asking for Amanda Setton to disrobe in front of a packed set and grind down like some sort of Albert Alarr situation. Just to be able to dress like a young woman and play out some soap opera romantic scenes with her love interests.

    • I hit the Google Machine, and can't find Alex Alegria's (Tomas) age anywhere. Wow, I really disagree with this. I like that Bill plays against the typical bad guy. I think Maurice Johnson has been just fine -- except for that swaying. I cannot believe someone -- anyone -- on that set didn't give him a note. He should have been called out on that in week one. The swaying and swiveling never stops unless he sits down. I understand the need for product placement and the reason for it. However, it does feel wrong during emotional scenes. Yes, we're talking about the products, but it takes us out of those emotional moments, and GATES shouldn't be happy about that. They need to do better. Maxim said it better than I did. I agree. The writers have absolutely failed Ashley and Derek. I've abused both of them here, but I do place more of the blame on the writing. Compare what A & D have been given with the dialogue Ambyr Michelle is getting as Eva. We're not even in the same universe. Ambyr is getting writing that plays to her (many) strengths. She takes good dialogue and knocks it out of the park. Ashley and Derek are given garbage to play and garbage to say.
    • The Eva / Tomas scenes at the end -- to see a good actress having to play a scene with someone giving her less than nothing -- that was painful.
    • I thought the story had it’s moments, I much preferred the story once Greg was meddling, trying to keep her away from Tom Ryan. I loved them together!   And there was a story they could have developed from this. Laura stopped having a lot of scenes with the ensemble. She's the only one missing during the big finales of seasons 5&6, and I would have been cool to play on that! For one, Laura being a more cutthroat business executive just made sense to me. Also, the point I was trying to make regarding Mary Robeson was that I wish they had focused on a story from her family /background beforehand. You could play the Vin artist from many angles.

    • I think the arrival of the Spauldings (Alan/Elizabeth/Phillip) caused the erosion of Sara's character on the show since Elizabeth took over Sara's place in the whole Justin/Jackie story.  Sara's brief marriage to another deceptive man sounded like it paled in comparison to the previous deceptive man story that she had played the decade beforehand.. and it was probably done because of the whole Alan/Jackie/Mike/Elizabeth cluster that took off story wise.   I know the show had introduced Brandy, the woman Justin cheated on Jackie with... but I don't believe she lasted more than a year.. and didn't make much of an impression. While the Dobson's were good at writing/juggling multiple characters/stories.. they weren't perfect though they did manage to make use of characters not in the front burner like Sara, Ann, etc. I do know that Sara/Adam looked to be starting up at the end of the Dobson era with a jealous/regretful Barbara looking on.. which played out during the Roger/Holly rape story and Hollys prison story.   I don't know if Marland was as inspired by that story when he took over
    • If you ever make it to the Paley Center in NYC (fka Museum of TV and Radio), in their viewing room, you can watch Days 1/1/73 featuring Denise Alexander as Susan. It’s her last month on the show before switching to GH.
    • Overall I was impressed with this week and fall out from the revealation.  I am looking forward to seeing the Nicole/Dana showdown next week.  I do wonder if June is going to be tied to Hayley.
