He might not necessarily be a fan, but Feige does seem to have a shred of respect for soaps. Perhaps because his grandfather was Robert E. Short - who once oversaw soap operas for P&G as the Executive In Charge of Production.

That is wild. Bob Short. @DRW50 should hear that one.

Marvel Studios is notorious for completely micromanaging and overhauling their projects in both pre-production and post-production. To varying degrees of success. Definitely not out of the ordinary for them, but definitely a wait and see as there isn’t too much out there to really judge the new show-runner on.

In related news, Kevin Feige is making the rounds promoting Deadpool & Wolverine this week. He mentioned that they’re excited to finally tap into the more soap opera elements of the X-Men IP in live-action soon. No doubt. Look at what's been happening with Captain America 4. I'm not even sure what will make it on screen Singles Awareness Day 2025 is even how it was supposed to be though I look per the trailer it appears to be tagging into what I love about Winter Soldier...the spy intrigues.

Oh...?  How cool!

Oh, wow! I did not know that! Now that makes tons of sense about a lot of his actions. But I still wish they would've worked something out with Beau DeMayo. Whatever the beef is, that man is too good at what he does to let slip through their fingers. And he's a big Superman fan, so I wouldn't want him to go to DC and help them.

I saw that Polaris and Havok will have a part in the next season too. I am eager to see what that brings. I hope they finally reveal the connection between Havok and Cyclops.

I am wondering if Polaris and Havok will be the people Forge will recruit in the modern era (as they were on the board of recruits in the finale).

It sounds like only Jean and Scott may wear the Morrison suits. In any event it's always nice to see that look. Morrison had apparently intended for the team to go back to unique costumes had they continued (with the uniform branding request from Marvel during the run of the Singer films no longer deemed essential), but they quit after a row with editorial before they could do that.

Pleased to hear Lorna, Havok and Danger are part of the new season.

I commented and told him he better channel Bridget Dobson if they don't invite him and go and snag his EMMY regardless.

That aside, Beau shared his story bible for a previous X-Men project he pitched to FOX back in 2014. Interesting read. Snag it while you can!

Beau is spilling some tea on his firing. Granted, we haven’t heard Disney’s side yet, but this wouldn’t surprise me.

I just saw this too. That's f*cked up that on Disney's part. I can't wait for him to go even more in detail.

I think that Disney not seeing what a star they had in Beau is boggling.

Marvel Studios responded back (they never do, so you know this is serious). Apparently, there was an internal investigation that was done on Beau back in March with “egregious findings” that led to his firing - Hollywood Reporter said it was due to a sexual misconduct allegation. Which, if true, I can see why they had to let him go.

Apparently, he’s also being stripped of credit for season 2 because he didn’t hold up his end of his exit deal.

Marvel Fires Back Over ‘X-Men ’97’ Creator’s Claim He Was “Stripped” of Season 2 Credit, Cites “Egregious” Investigation Findings (Exclusive)

Disney explicitly denies this, and cites 'egregious behavior.'

This is another reason I have always been hesitant in suggesting DeMayo be hired back when we have no idea what happened and he has a history of wild behavior and opinions. He did outstanding work on Season 1 but you don't get dropped without a word without it being something serious.
