Members janea4old
@Errol Do you know if the ads on ParamountPlus are the same for all viewers? Or does the ParamountPlus browser viewing, (or app viewing) have some sort of algorithm that picks up cookies from the viewer's device, and then tailors the ads for the viewers? Members Contessa Donatella
The Georgia Power ads, for one example, would suggest the latter, as I am metro ATL.
Webmaster Errol Posted 3 hours ago Author Webmaster Share Posted 3 hours ago All ads on television differ by region, including ads shown on streaming services. National ads on broadcast/cable should generally be the same, but then they also insert local-based advertising. On streaming, certain programs might have specific ad buys, but ultimately, it is due to region and demographics, whether it be on the user end or based on the show's typical audience. So, to answer your question, no, ads on Paramount+ aren't the same for all viewers, and yes, they track you by cookies, but more importantly, they do so based on the info you provided at sign-up. --- Ratings Update
Members Chris B
Jamey's primetime series Sistas just got renewed for a ninth season. It's the #1 show on cable amongst Black viewers. I know many didn't like his writing on Days but none of his other work is like that which tells me it's like an issue from the top with Ron's vision. I say this to say I'm not worried about him on BTG. He's shown he can do good work and Sistas is a great example of that.
Members janea4old
Interesting. I can see paramountplus essential without ads by using a simple adblocker, so I didn't realize what ads were being shown. Peacock has a cheaper tier with ads and a more expensive adfree version. I couldn't watch the cheaper Peacock unless I disabled adblock. And when I signed up for the cheaper Peacock, I used a fake birthdate -- I think I said I was 90 years old, so all the ads I saw were about medications and mobility aids. Somehow the ads pattern has decided I have that... (thank God I don't Please register in order to view this content ) But that is hilarious. 90 years old and they are STILL trying to make you buy stuff!
