They should use the abundance of HBCUs in Georgia to recruit new and up and coming talent being the scenes as well. Michele and Bob are in their 70’s, and no one is clamoring for people like Carlivati or Bibel to take over the reigns when they step aside…

I hope Michele uses this opportunity as a chance to foster new/young black writers who can carry on her legacy.

I am catching up on the past performances of the different actors and I'm amazed by Daphnee Duplaix's abilities. It would have been a travesty if she left show business before landing this part, as the NY Times article suggested. Sometimes we talk about actors having to spin gold from straw but I don't even know how to characterize the material DD was given on Passions. 

Actual dialogue from the story: "Valerie's no woman! She's your pregnant son!" "She's your son, Julian, Valerie is Vincent! You're having sex with your son!"
