Gina Tognoni was playing teens when Lulu was born onscreen. She has also been up for Carly before, who is a big sister figure to Lulu. Not going to happen.

IMO Marci Miller is the optimum choice as many have said, but it's rare that a soap acts directly on a fan casting choice. It happens, but not often.

Trina last aired February 21. She has been missing for 12 episodes. She has no spoilers for next week either. The show is being revamped and perhaps her role is being reduced.

For my GH/DAYS fans how long did it take you to accept Mansi as Kristina? She’s still my favorite Abby and despite how people feel about her Lexi was the Kristina I watched with Sonny and Alexis so it’s hard for me to watch Kate at times.

I like Mansi, loved her on DAYS. I’m still having some trouble with her as Kristina, for the same reason. Same with Molly. But I think if they give Mansi some material to work with she will fully win me over eventually. As for Molly…none of the recasts have worked for me.

Lexi never got much to work with in the last decade so I had long resigned myself to her never getting major story. Mansi has done a good job with a pretty poor storyline and now I think there might be an opportunity for even more bigger and better, so I am open to her continuing (though I would be just as open to Lexi back and getting better and bigger material). If it doesn't go anywhere interesting, Kristina can take a break.

Molly and T.J. I also gave up on ages ago, and none of the recasts work. So I'd write them out and possibly bring back Molly (whoever plays her) at some far-off future date, or not.

Immediate acceptance for me. As soon as she began it clicked. Now, probably first good scene was with Sam. My only concern now is that they've created this excellent couple but they are not having them on even once a week. That's the way to lose a great couple, if the show doesn't invest in it.

I know there are fans who are still so bummed about Lexi getting a raw deal that they are blocked from giving Kate Mansi a chance. I feel for them.

Also I like FinalMolly so much!! She is an excellent actress & looks the part & seems authentic & works with the rest of the Davis clan. Possibly not as romantically exciting with TJ.

Someone very credible told me that SG has retired from acting. But I'd thought I would try to look for somewhere it's printed or said in an interview. It's on my list to look some tomorrow.

Yes, she has retired & is pursuing a career in holistic healing & in wellness.

Got to Jason’s first appearance. I think because the last time Jason died and I was watching regularly, his return during the Drew storyline hit harder. I didn’t see him die this time and I’ve been enjoying Harris on Days. So Jason suddenly being on the roof with a sniper on Sonny didn’t hit as hard for me. Granted that might change when I see him with the other characters. But tbh Jason was a dead end for me because Burton wouldn’t let the character just embrace the Quartermaines fully it felt like despite even with brain damage, they were still in his life for decades. BMJason/Drew was exactly what I wanted from the character.

Even Jason being there for Dante, did nothing for me.

I didn’t watch GH in the 90’s so white Jagger and Sonny means nothing to me. I do support as many characters as Possible hating Sonny though. I’ve hated him since Faith was killed off.

Also I love Tracy with Brooklyn but they dress like they’re the same age when Tracy is the grandmother.

    • Maeve makes a few sporadic appearances, but returns full-time the next spring/summer. She's back in time to see Bill and Michelle graduate, although she skulks around town and wasn't going to tell anyone she was alive.
    • Aww, yeah it's very heartbreaking and I mostly enjoyed the Nola/Vanessa scenes because they finally let their walls down and came together in a beautiful moment. So Nola was at the hospital already and bumped into Vanessa, who had MRI papers that fell out of her hand and Nola went down to pick them up and asked her what was going on. Later, Vanessa confided in her about her disease. Then, Nola told Zachary on the beach (he prodded her and already alluded to knowing something was going on with Van), and then Vanessa found out she told him and got a little upset. Now, however, Nola is strangely absent while everyone is mourning her death. I'm curious if Nola will actually tell people about her MRI results. I would assume so. Only Nola, Rick, Roger and Zachary know anything, although there is the MRI results letter from the mail that everyone has missed seeing at home. I'm sure it'll all come out at some point. But... I just saw the next episode and the opening already cut Vanessa out and added Dahlia and Zachary. I guess Maeve is gone for a long time

That will break my heart seeing the town continue to mourn her and assume she's dead. I can't wait to see her return though, and I have to imagine feelings will be torn between loving that she's alive and being very angry she did all of this. While I hate what Vanessa is doing, I'm happy to hear it's not totally against her character. I think you're right, had Henry still been around, she wouldn't put him through this. I'm still surprised she is with Bill, though. I get her feelings on Matt, because she wants him to move on, but still very heartbreaking. I'm glad this was Maeve's choice to have a break vs. being fired.    Interesting, so I'm curious to see who they eventually pair Phillip with. They're flirting with a Phillip/Annie pairing, but I'm not sure if they'll go that route with the Jeva drama, her growing pill addiction, and Rick's past with her.  Ugh, yeah I'm so sad to see Bridget do a total 180 in the last couple weeks. She has always been a strong character from what I've seen, but now she's just bending over backwards to get Hart to love her and it reeks of desperation. Yeah, sure, this new Hart is eye candy, but I'm already tired of seeing Hart/Dinah have sex all over Springfield and the Cayman Islands haha.
    • Yes.  I remember them together during the early summer of 1986.  They didn't share scenes again for 30 years until 2017 because Carrie wasn't on the show when Anna returned during Sydney's kidnapping.
    • I can see Kim being that way. Well, Kyle didn't have to say yes. LOL. The suicide attempt feels plot-driven. I don't know if even Long could've made it work. She'd spent so much time trying to make Reva and Kyle into a couple, it feels odd to just have them give up. Not to mention how odd it is to have Maeve agree to marry him. Re Charita---surely they could've at least tried  finding clips with who was still there. Maybe they wouldn't have been "big" moments, but surely she'd interacted with Ross, Vanessa, and Henry. Vanessa had dated Ed, FCOL. But Mo and Rick were there---surely they could've bothered to find some clips of her with them (and they did interact a fair amount) and used them. And with Ed they could've found some shot of her talking to him and just not cut to whoever was playing Ed in the clip. That to me is what feels lazy---they had more than a year to figure it out, and they went with a bunch of photos. If you were sort of centering it on Rick anyway---then find clips with them and use 'em.
    • I definitely think it's time to write off Nina for good. I think her killing Drew might actually be a good idea. She could completely lose it after losing both Sasha and Willow and she ends up murdering Drew and eventually she gets caught and sent away to prison for a long time.
    • I hope it's okay to post this here(as in from DC)
    • Quick question - did Christie and Leann share any scenes together in the '80s before Leann left the show?
    • This is the perfect way to encapsulate the situation. So many morally-reprehensible stories were foisted on the show and its characters in ATWT's dwindling years. Rape should never be used as a cheap plot device or in a way that degrades the victim. Jack's sexual assault was another heinous example of how nasty the the show's tone had become. The fact that people like Hogan Sheffer, Ron Carlivati, Jean Passanante, Charles Pratt, Dena Higley, etc., somehow end up winning awards for their material, decimates the credibility and integrity of the awards, IMHO. Soaps used to have a solid moral core and did not originally wallow in the gutter, rolling around in filth and depravity just to be cool, hip, campy, or whatever else modern-day PTB aim for. Thank you. Cruelty, degradation and misogyny are not components which lend themselves to successful soaps, which have always been predicated on warmth, family bonds, and providing a comforting haven for their audience. The genre has been crippled because the cynical and ignorant executives in charge understand neither the shows nor what the audience wants to see.
