I was shocked when I saw this when I glanced at my phone this afternoon, I was hoping I had misread the People Breaking News.   So sad at 55,only 2 years older than myself. My best friend who would've been that same age died last year of covid at 54.   It's so shocking and sad.

Remembering all the ongoing work Sonya did to support nurses in the real world.

The following announcement was posted at the end of her obituary at The Hollywood Reporter (and also Variety):

"Donations in her memory can be made to The Foundation of the National Student Nurses’ Association Inc." and they gave this link:

There are no words 💔 @sonyaeddy just the kindest most wonderful person. The world was better with her in it. Still trying to wrap my head around this. We love you Sonya. Sing with the angels. We are here, we are now, we are one.

To see Haley Erin (who played Kiki Jerome) talk about Sonya Eddy passing on...

And then to see the clip of Epiphany singing at Kiki's memorial.

(Kiki wasn't that important a character but the juxtaposition of these tweets got to me).

Breaks my heart to learn that my GH co-star #SonyaEddy has left us. Sonya was an amazing woman and wonderful human being. I’m grateful to have known and worked with her. I send prayers and blessings of healing, love and peace to all who knew and loved her. Rest in Paradise, Sonya. 🙏🏾

Heart broken & devastated over the loss of my friend @sonyaeddy. 💔 A talented beautiful spirit with an infectious laugh that instantly made you feel better. Working with her was a joy and I'm so grateful to have known such a beautiful soul. Love you Sonya. RiP

A lot of people are posting various clips of Epiphany singing at various funerals and weddings.  And of course many clips of her singing "You're not alone".

But my favorite clip is the above one of her singing "I am everyday people".  It embodies the good spirit of nurses everywhere in real life, what the soul of fictional GH should be, and Sonya's joy.
