Webmaster Errol Posted July 12, 2022 Webmaster Share Posted July 12, 2022 As has been the case on multiple occasions in recent weeks, the daytime soaps will once again be preempted all or in part on Tuesday, July 12 due to ongoing coverage of the Congressional Committee Hearings over the January 6th Capitol Assault. “The Young and the Restless” will air the first half of an all-new episode before CBS News breaks in at 1:00 p.m. ET with a special report to be hosted by “CBS Evening News” Anchor and Managing Editor Norah O’Donnell. She’ll be joined by chief political analyst John Dickerson, senior investigative correspondent Catherine Herridge, chief election & campaign correspondent Robert Costa, chief national affairs and justice correspondent Jeff Pegues, and congressional correspondents Scott MacFarlane and Nikole Killion. The full episode of “Y&R” will air in its entirety in markets not impacted by the hearings and will be made available to watch without interruption via CBS On Demand and Paramount+. “The Bold and the Beautiful” is expected to be preempted nationally with today’s scheduled episode to air tomorrow, July 13. All episodes will therefore be pushed by a day. “The Talk” is likely to be preempted on the East Coast with today’s scheduled all-new episode available to air in markets not impacted by the hearings. The full episode will be made available on CBS On Demand and Paramount+. In markets that air “Let’s Make a Deal” after “The Talk,” the game show will be available to watch in its entirety via CBS On Demand and Paramount+. The series is currently airing a combination of reruns and all-new episodes as its season is wrapping up. “GMA3: What You Need to Know” and “General Hospital” are also likely to be interrupted due to today’s hearings. Like “The Talk,” “GMA3” will be preempted on the East Coast due to ABC News coverage with today’s scheduled all-new episode available to air in markets not impacted by the hearings. The full episode will be available via ABC On Demand and Hulu. “General Hospital” will be preempted nationally with today’s scheduled episode to air tomorrow, July 13. All episodes will therefore be pushed by a day. “Days of our Lives” will have aired its full episode in such major markets as WNBC in New York prior to the hearings’ start, therefore the all-new episode will be available to watch in its entirety via NBC On Demand or Peacock.
