Sheila burns down Forrester Creations - In an act of fury of hurt as everyone has rejected Sheila. She decides to burn down Forrester Creations while the anniversary of the company is being held in the inside with the current and returning guest characters i.e., James Warwick, Rick, Felicia, Kristen and Tony and Thorne among others. The Friday cliffhanger we see a body bag and we find out on Monday that Ridge died in the fire. Other characters our in peril and trapped. Meanwhile, we find out that Ridge left his shares of Forrester to Brooke making her a power player in the company again.

Ridge Forrester is found run over in the parking lot of FC (the recast was never very popular).

Brooke immediately thinks she did it while drunk. Sheila worries that she'll be suspected.  Taylor covers for Thomas, who was unaccounted for at the time of the murder. 

Basically, every woman in LA has a motive, but who did it?  And who stands to gain the most from the death of the heir apparent at Forrester?

The twist

It was Jack Marone.  Fearing that he would loose the rights to Marone Industries upon the death of his father Nick, Jack ran over his uncle so that he could run the business all by himself.  The long lost child of Brooke, Taylor, and Nick finally returns to Los Angeles...

Lauren returns with husband Michael to expand her dept. store or something. Michael resents giving up his DA job in Genoa City. Fenn who was in jail gets released, gets into alot of crap, messing up his parent's marriage. Lauren cheats with $Bill.

Fen and other junkies rob the Forrester Mansion during which Eric sustains an undetected head injury. Sheila saves Eric and manipulates the brain injured senior into becoming his wife again. Lauren learns Sheila's been withholding Eric's medication and stealing some of his money, but is neutralized when Sheila uncoveres Fen was in the robbery.

Bill gets Spencer back somehow then goes on a rampage and takes over Forrester. Lauren leaves him and allies with Sheila, Brooke & the Forresters, successfully regaining the company when a vengeful *late 90s era edge* Michael intervenes. 

Sheila ends up as CEO, as she's been stealing assets as well to gain majority shares. She uses Justin who has knowlge of business to help her. In the end Lauren somehow takes down Sheila. Sheila looses controlling interest but remains on the board to keep her around long term. Sheila exposes Fen who gets rehab and probation when he snitches on the person who planned the robbery and actually injured Eric. Eric gets proper treatment, returns to his right mind and gets an annulment. Lauren repairs her marriage, and so on...

      I do not think I have ever agreed with Vee. Normally I do not read him, Ignore ya know. For some unknown reason I clicked to read. And I agree 1000%. Now, this is so odd that I need to go away for a bit.

      Justine had a lot of hooey in it, but she was an actual woman, not a guy in drag. She was a doppelganger of Rachel, French, having had a past history with Carl, etc. Two of the more outrageous parts-Justine bricking alive Vicky into a wall & Justine grinding the gears driving a big rig.

      Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

      Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.

      This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.
