Good for Calle. Who knows, folks may another dimension of her personality that remained hidden while on Y&R.

 

I had hoped for some type of opportunity outside the soap genre for Mishael Morgan, hit alas. The funny thing is that some people suggested that Mishael wouldn't be cut out to makr the leap to prime-time or movies (even Ava Duvernay fare) yet, here were are witnessing Ms. Calle doing just that. Hm.

Oh, it was said on this board. It wasn't you, but I definitely remember that! I'm not going to try to dig up the post(s). Perhaps, check the thread pertaining to Mishael's departure from Y&R years ago. There were all kinds of opinions being expressed back then, lol.

Wow. Stunned by that. But I think Mishael is wonderful and way too good for this show.

When she departed Y&R, I definitely had hoped she would pursue roles in feature films and primetime. It's not as if I was expecting her to be the next Julianne Moore or Marisa Tomei, but you can't say there is no room for Mishael in any movies or prime-time when Shemar Moore is right there.

I do wonder whether a soap would've been preferable to doing the audition process, especially since she had just had a baby at the time she returned.

And it seems as though she's at least found a way to challenge herself in the role.
