If you haven't seen The Conversation, do. One of both Coppola and Hackman's best films, and a great spooky set of performances Harrison Ford, Frederic Forrest and even Cindy Williams. (Teri Garr is there too, being Teri Garr.)

Gene Hackman was one of my favorite actors. Every role he took on was effortlessly real. It never felt like he was reciting script (Philip Seymour Hoffmann was another).

This and Michelle Trachtenberg are tough ones today.

SMG says: “Michelle, listen to me. Listen. I love you. I will always love you. The hardest thing in this world, is to live in it. I will be brave. I will live… for you.”

Michelle played young Bianca when SMG played Kendall Hart. She then recommended her for the part of Dawn on Buffy and were very close on set. She must be heartbroken. She saw that little girl grow up over the years. Heck, I still cannot believe Michelle was 39.

Michelle was also very good in Disney's Ice Princess.

Former world chess champion Boris Spassky has died. He's probably most famous for the World Championship match against Bobby Fischer in 1972, which also served as inspiration for the musical "Chess".

You are all absolutely right and apologies for my brain freeze. Michelle played a young Lily Montgomery on AMC  back in the day; Lacey Chabert played young Bianca. Sarah Michelle Gellar coincided with both young actresses when she was on AMC.

    • Is there anything in print or fan lore or info about Don Stewart & temperament or behavior? Of course my brain could be playing tricks on me.
    • “On ERICA versus RACHEL, Erica was a very unique character. ... Rachel was a lower-class Erica, her mother was a cleaning woman, and her goals were not nearly stratospheric as Erica’s. Rachel just wanted to marry Russ or somebody with money. What Erica and Rachel have in common is they thought if they could get their dream, they’d be satisfied. But that dream has been very elusive.”– Agnes Nixon, Creator, ONE LIFE TO LIVE, ALL MY CHILDREN, and LOVING So my takeaway from this, plus knowing the characters, is that both Rachel & Erica schemed for acquisition. They wanted to acquire romance, husbands, prosperity, a kind of low-level fame or notoriety.  Am I correct in thinking that Carla schemed for safety, camouflage, to keep from getting caught & so for survival? Or did she also scheme for things similar to above?

    • I faintly remember the tv movie where Ted Danson played the lead.. my late mom liked the movie and she also read a few of the novels and enjoyed them.

    • Paula and Jeanne’s first time writing Alex and Stephanie. It didn’t seem like there were any changes in Alex at all lol but I can’t help  but think that that’s more on RSW than the writing. I didn’t see a big change with Stephanie either, but I did enjoy her scenes with Kayla, whose character has gotten so much stronger since last week. I hope we get to see a lot more of their relationship, and their relationship with Steve as well. As for Steve and Shawn stealing the drug to try to save Bo, idk. I don’t dislike it, but I just don’t know lol but I also think that it is time for Steve to pass the torch on to the next hero.  And finally, Javi showed some kind of spark! I was a little worried in his first scene today that he was going to continue to be so obsessed with Leo, but him demanding that Leo drop the investigation into Rafe and Gabi could actually be pretty interesting. I don’t think that would’ve happened under Ron. And if we’re forced to endure Javi/Leo, let them at least have some kind of actual conflict, instead of the forced, biased crap that we were subjected to. And speaking of Leo, one year ago today, he got Dimitri’s letter

Btw, why is Gabi so beholden to Javi? Cousin or not, if I was her, the minute he said to her, “If he goes, I go”, I would’ve been like  Also, are they going to go there with Philip and Gabi? I’d prefer that than Gabi getting involved with Alex.
