Coming to CBS this Fall, on Mondays at 9/8c.

I feel as if this is based on some judges that were in the news. I don't know if you all have ever seen Judge Amber Wolf but she called the jail from the bench and demanded to know why the woman was sent to court with no pants on. I know after that and another video went viral they wanted to do shows with her but she declined.

Judge Lola Carmichael's husband Robin Taylor was played by Todd Williams in the first two seasons of All Rise, on CBS.
For season three, which debuts on OWN in June 2022, the role of Robin has been recast with Christian Keyes.

Christian Keyes had a brief role on Y&R in 2020 as Amanda Sinclair's stalker ex "Ripley Turner" who intended to stab her from the back, but accidentally stabbed Victoria instead because they were wearing similar outfits.

He was a regular cast member (now recurring) in Saints & Sinners on Bounce TV.

I still laugh about that plot twist.  Ripley was SO obsessed with Amanda; yet, he couldn't tell the difference between her and a white girl, lol.

I know, right? I was laughing when typing that.

It was clarified when I watched the episode over, but still...
He saw the real Amanda from the front, wearing a long white outfit, and he really saw the woman he was stalking.  Then later at the same event, he saw the back of a woman who was wearing a similar white outfit, who had dark hair of the same length, and he assumed it was Amanda, and he was in a hurry to stab her, so he went for it.   The lighting of the scene made it hard to see the shade of the brunette hair.

Loving the Chemisty between Simone Missick & Wilson Bethel

I love that their characters are best friends. They play so well off each other!  I can just feel the connection.

I'm going to rewatch the first two seasons which are up on hulu. Such a great show.

I just watched Season Three episode one, on OWN.  YAY!  I don't have cable so I bought season three on Amazon.  The ENTIRE cast is back.  (The only recast is Judge Lola's husband) But *everyone* else stayed with the show.

Great first episode.  This show makes me so happy!

I was disappointed with the first ten episodes of Season three.  The focus was Judge Lola Carmichael's love life.   That could have been a side plot but they emphasized it too much.

Sean Blackmore (who played Shawn Butler on GH) is the stud attorney who tries to tempt Lola to be unfaithful to her husband.  His character got a lot of focus and the actor is "fine" looking and was all sexy and suave. It has been great to see Mr. Blakemore shine outside of GH!  Even though he was seemingly written as a guest star, he was on camera enough - -and had "a magnetic presence" enough to be one of the leads.

But that's not why I watch "All Rise".  I don't watch it for soapy stuff!   I watch soaps and legal shows for different reasons!

Now they are on hiatus, but they will resume Season 3 later this year sometime with episode 11.
