September 17, 20187 yr Member Those ratings for Y&R are just abysmal. Is that a typo or is that really a six-year viewership low? Edited September 17, 20187 yr by Faulkner
September 17, 20187 yr Member The Jarlena wedding was a complete bust! No ratings increase at all. Why did GH repeat 3 days in row? Are they out of episodes? Is the 2.59 for Y&R a typo? Or was there a pre-emption?
September 17, 20187 yr Author Administrator Well to be fair, Friday's pre-emptions brought down the entire week, so I wouldn't say it was a bust. Varni's excuse about the repeats was so stupid: “It’s been planned for months. Last year we didn’t have to take additional encores because Trump interrupted the show so much. This year, with less interruptions, we needed to take some extra days off based on the number of new episodes we produce for you.”

This year, with less interruptions, we needed to take some extra days off based on the number of new episodes we produce for you.” This excuse is illogical. And most of the interruptions were the choice of the networks to cover certain events - they weren't Presidential news conferences. The network orders a certain number of episodes, so pre-emptions actually have the opposite effect - the delayed episodes end up extending the run - not shortening it. The show ran over budget and they had to trim the count to make it work.
September 17, 20187 yr Member GH: 9/7 ratings will be must see. Did viewers return after the hiatus? ABC has a plan and I'm here for it!

September 17, 20187 yr Member To see how many viewers return after the hiatus. ABC has been trying to yank this show since the other 2 went off the air. Nothing has stuck just yet. Don't be shocked if GH goes down to 4 or even 3 eppies/week as they ease in a replacement.
