Overall thoughts... pretty good schedule. ABC is in a pretty good spot. I imagine the Wednesday fluff drama will fail. It will become the new Tuesday/10pm slot home of failures. But who knows? Maybe one will finally hit. The Rookie could go either way I guess but you know, Nathan Fillion and all. I think he's their best chance at ending the dead Tuesday/10pm slot. But now Wednesday/10pm will likely suffer so they're gonna be in the same spot. I see now that Disney-synergy Once Upon a Time is gone they suddenly want comedies on Friday again?

but FOTB and Speechless are solid choices. I hope they can succeed there. I like ABC's diverse family comedies. Single Parents behind Modern Family was a no-brainer. I'm sure ABC hopes it's their next Modern Family-hit but MF isn't exactly doing gangbusters anymore so I'm curious how Single Parents will debut. It's got some buzz around it so we'll see.

A safe but smart schedule. I'm good with it.

Why? The original is tanking badly right now and has its lowest numbers ever. I don't know if the shortened season is the reason why but adding another DWTS on the lineup is ridiculous.

I am surprised HTGAWM is still on the air. The ratings are bad for the show and have been for some time.

The only show I'll be watching is Roseanne and The Alec Baldwin Show and maybe some Modern Family sprinkled in.

lol I know.

DWTS's demos are tanking. The overall 7/8 million is low but fairly on par with an aging show. But the show got a 1.0 in the demo last night! I mean ... damn. That's bad.

I don't get it either.

I'm surprised with you on HTGAWM. But Viola Davis and all that. And Shonda. So they cling to it. But it gets awful ratings. lol. Station 19 is the new Private Practice.

I used to love Modern Family but I haven't watched the last few seasons.

I'll definitely be watching Roseanne. I like their sitcoms but I can't say I watch them all the time. It's a lot of sitcoms, lol.

Roseanne on in the fall means we will be getting a Halloween show

The first season of the original didn't have a Halloween episode so I was not surprised that the debut season of the revival didn't either.  Can you imagine Dan's reaction at what Mark will be for Halloween (remember his reaction to DJ being a witch for Halloween in the original show?)

I have heard that False Profit is being considered for mid-season.  Vanessa Williams vs Bellamy Young... that alone is the reason to pick the pilot up... Willamina Slater vs Melly.  It's a slam dunk ABC.

Their comedies, other then Roseanne, are ho hum.  I don't really like the single cam format.

    • Oups!! I guess when i was doing the editing, i left a part of 3169, too (RTL Lounge airs 2 episodes per day back to back). Sorry about that ! Tonight i ll try to record 3171-3172. If i m not mistaken 3172 is missing from YouTube.

    • I would put Felicia in the 'small dose' auntie category because she means well, but comes on too strongly at times.  In small doses, she would be a blast to hang out with.. but in anything larger than a small... she would be exhausting. I tend to prefer lower key people than people that are always 'on' all the time.  Those people can veer off into energy vampire status pretty quickly.
    • I didn't like the Harry story, but Nazar did have a great introduction. He was probably the highlight of last year.  Now that you mention it, I guess the truly dire stories (Nicole, Harper/Drew/Phil, Nicole) didn't start until summer.
    • thank you all for contributing to the Vault. I am slowly getting towards watching the 1998 episodes

    • I pray⏤and I know it's a big prayer⏤that Noel Maxam is somehow able to figure things out budget-wise so we can stop re-dressing existing sets as "new" sets. I know in apartment buildings apartments can generally look the same, but I'm over it on this soap. The last time he was executive producer was in 2011 when the original Horton Town Square was introduced, and we had some other sets get introduced around this time (likely pre-commissioned prior to his election), but I'm trying to have some hope he can pull this off. Let's [finally] see it.
    • Definitely not the best of RC's breakdowns. I don't know what it says that I could pick up his trademarks yesterday 30 minutes in without even knowing that he did one. There was something more...quirky/boardstroked...about Dani. Though I love the Dani/Nicole scenes, she was just a little too hip?...which made me think back to the episode when she broke into Bill/Hayley's house. Then watching the episode later on, I saw Hayley was being used as a punchline to the more interesting and relevant Bill/Ted scenes (see you all were just talking about how you hoped they got scenes...one thing this show is great at...what people want on this board...they already have the foresight for it. The reason I feel the DNA test will get mentioned @Cheap21 in more detail). And then poor Anita reduced for the most part propping up an album.    Needless to say, not my favorite RC episode. And since we are in aftermath week, I just smh. And barely worth a rewatch. BUT...was there good for me?    Yes. Thankfully, we still got good aftermath beats regardless of the breakdown.   Like I said, I really like the Dani/Nicole scenes. But I love their dynamic. And I was looking forward to the shoe being on the other foot once the SilkPress storyline hit climax. Quirks aside, it did not disappoint. Dani came in, and she came in fierce for her sister. I loved her attacking Eva. And then her being surprisingly introspective about Nicole due to her own experience. No wonder Nicole reacted to her being self-aware. So did I.    Meanwhile Bill and Ted finally met up. I'm kinda sad that we did not get that sooner given the scenes that played out sidepiece in the background aside. It might have been interesting to see more of their status as non-Duprees coming into the family explored.    And of course I can't leave without mentioning Eva vs SilkPress Sheila which was the highlight. Both of them were giving. And SilkPress was just so cold with it. I did love that Eva finally stopped letting her gaslight her. Sad to see the duo break up. But I did love that she went to Ted. So...the next turn begins.   And speaking of turns...uh oh at Kat and Tomas. I'm sure he won't be staying away from her. So most definitely, Kat vs Eva ain't over. It will be interesting to see how it goes now that most people know that Kat was right all along.
    • Nah I enjoyed it much more last year because of the Harry plot that ended during that time. Nazar being introduced and them. But this time it is so lame and nothing I like forward to anymore and I’m one of them long time fans. Of course I would be upset if they would cancel it but maybe take a year off or two and return refreshed
    • came across this quote that provides some context: “It’s hard to escape the cultural reach of the Catholic Church when you live in the Western world. It is, for better or worse, one of the load-bearing walls of our civilization. Its influence wafts from the church into the streets of civic life, the courts, the schools, the arts.”
