And the hits of 2016 just keep on coming. This time it's Ron Glass, best known as Harris on "Barney Miller." That's 2 of the Barney Miller cast this year, the other being Abe Vigoda.

Sad. I always thought he was very handsome and he had a good laid-back wit. You don't have that many good sitcom actors now. 

Awful and unexpected news. I love him on Barney Miller, but I would have to say that when I think Ron Glass, I immediately think of him as the blind encyclopedia salesman on one of my fave episodes of Good Times.

Y&R missed the boat by not casting him as Neil & Malcolm's Dad.

Another good one gone. I liked him in Firefly too.

Harris with the early cast of Barney Miller. Always one of my favorites.  The ongoing story of Harris' book 'Blood on the Badge' was especially entertaining.
