Felicia is the Al Gore of Port Charles. I haven't seen him in years either.

 

Presumably this is just stunt casting for a few episodes, but I always liked Shari on Hotel. It's certainly not objectionable stunt casting. I just wish they could have Jake return so I could check Jake/Bobby reunion off my "things before GH is canned" list.

I would trade this recast in for either her husband or her father.   The role is so insignificant  it barely rates a recast, and they could have easily just given the office to Felicia.  The whole thing is lame.

Sure. It's hiring someone who is known by at least some fans for a role that would otherwise probably not get a lot of attention otherwise. The soaps have basically been through their '80s Rolodex in the last 15 years for these bit roles. It gets a bit more mention on generic entertainment websites.
