And yes, James is a rarity. The last Asian decent man to play BBUSA was Kevin back in s11 and he was Filipino/Black.

Not shocked. Big Brother always casts according to the headlines. Frankie was cast b/c Ariana was the hot pop princess at the time last summer. They've done so with other seasons as well.

I'm surprised a cop wasn't cast this season with all the cops killing innocent people in the headlines.

But I guess after they rigged the entire game in Derrick's benefit last season, they decided not to cast another player like him this summer (thank God).

But I do miss season 1-6 casting. At least they were super diverse. Said it in another thread but s11 was the last hugely diverse cast with:

Lydia: Latino

Natalie: Afro-Latino

Chima: Black

Kevin: Black/Filipino and gay

Russell: Middle Eastern

Casey: Older houseguest

We literally have no one over 35 this season, which is shocking and sad seeing as the fan fave last season was in that post 30 bracket (i.e. Donny).
