The greatest officially recorded number of children born to one mother is 69, to the wife of Feodor Vassilyev, a peasant from Shuya, Russia. Between 1725 and 1765, in a total of 27 pregnancies, she gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, 7 sets of triplets, and 4 sets of quadruplets. 67 of them survived infancy. The case was reported to Moscow by the Monastery of Nikolsk on Feb 27, 1782, which had recorded every birth.

I'm having a hard time believing this. Not only because it's incredible that she would have survived so many births, but also because I highly doubt that 67 of those children would have survived.

Yep. Surviving that many twin and triplet births before modern medicine is very unlikely. Add to that so many of the children surviving and I have major doubts.
