I didn't see one so I thought I would start one.

Is anyone going to be watching?

I'm a sucker for anything in NYC so I would be down. And I liked it last season. And the dirt about the fight that was filmed last year that was all online makes me curious to see how much of it will be shown since if I remember correctly the crew got ALL of the fight.

The show is BORING this season!!!! I feel so bad for Daisy and Mica because they're having to hold this entire show up by themselves. Nobody else has anything interesting going on and are just plain boring. Demetria is a sour puss and because she doesn't want to embarrass herself so she never feels natural. Her storyline is boring. Geneva is nuts and I know this will come in handy later, but on her own she is boring as hell. Her Sex and the City schtick is tired. Melyssa has always been boring because she makes her entire story about being a video vixen. BITCH I don't care if you were a video vixen. Get over it, get a life and get a storyline hoe.

Now onto the good: Mica and Daisy are GOLDEN!!!!!!!!!!! If Andy Cohen was smart he would've canceled this mess and moved them to RHONY with Chantel, who also is very interesting. New York looks good this season, but has so much dead weight in the cast. Mica and Daisy as official wives could've added much needed diversity. Regardless, I will continue to enjoy them here. Daisy is so inspiring with her cancer battle. I'm loving her and Mica and look forward to seeing what they and Chantel bring going forward.

Mica maybe OTT, but she would make one helluva soap diva. I adore this woman. She is the only reason I would be bothered with such a show. So happy to have Chantelle. She oozes sophistication! But Mica is what keeps this show going. The other ladies are a snoozefest. Brie was not cut out for this type of show, so it is good she left.

Mica for [Drunk}President!

HAHHAHAHA, Chit.

I admit that starting out that I liked Mica...then the drama with her drinking and dad's death hit, and that missed with some of her shine.

But this season so far, she has been my favorite. Her personality isn't unlike myself and she's bringing the fun, one-liners, and interestingly quirky style. She can be OTT.

Totally agree she would make a fierce soap diva.

I like Chantelle so far as well. That accent.

ETA: Since I didn't watch the Season 1 marathon, I couldn't figure out who was missing. lol. What was Bree's storyline again?

I don't recall Brie having a SL, but she simply was not cut out for this. She has plenty of money, and I'm glad she bowed out gracefully.

Micah's show was kind of cool and the models looked great, but she should have had more room so that folks didn't have to stand on chairs to see it.

I hope Daisy beats this cancer! Don't care for her, but I just wish her the best.

Ha!!!

I didn't get to see much of the premiere so I missed the trailer for the rest of the season.

Niiice.

And I have to say I loved Demetria's wedding dress.

But I do look forward to Demetria vs Chanetelle.

And it looks like Geneva is going to be on the outs with everybody a la Mica last year.

And seeing Daisy's struggle in the coming weeks made me teary-eyed.

Shantelle disappointed me, but I will let it slide because her accent is so marvelous.

Glad they found no cancer cells in Daisy, but I hate her now. I didn't really care for her all that much, but this past eppy made me hate her. That fake crying was ridiculous. Even if what she did was for SL purposes, she looked like a colossal idiot! Useless heffa!

    • I really hope you’re wrong. Dani Desperate Dupree being right will make her even more insufferable than she’s already been.
    • I know this board has very strong opinions about Scheffer's reign which run the gamut from brilliant to the nadir of the series.  I'm one of the fans. 2001 - 2005 are, imo, the second best years for the series. The first being Marland.  As The World Turns won Daytime Emmy Awards for Best Drama Series in '87 and '91. However, it wasn't until Scheffer came along that it won again...in '01 and '03. Plus it won for Best Writing Team in '01, '02, '04, and '05, an award it had never managed to win before and didn't again. When Scheffer left and Passanante was the main head writer (along with various other co-head writers) the show began to seriously tank. However, it wasn't just the writing. The budget was gone. The sets were made to be smaller or destroyed. There was all that weird hand held camera directing for a while. Scenes that were obviously shot in the hallway where the series was filmed. I think '06 - '10 is a roller coaster. There are some storylines I really enjoyed and some that were eye-rolling. Looking in the rearview mirror though, I can see that the actors, writers, directors, and crew were working their best with what money they had.
    • They are idiots! It seems crazy that Leslie is inserting herself so much into this investigation but everybody is falling into her traps. I find it to be an interesting back and forth and I'm still not completely sure who will win. I have a theory but I'm going to wait for more to develop before I say more. I feel like Haley has been more on the sidelines so I'm enjoying this new desperate streak she appears to be developing. I'm curious how it'll manifest overtime. I also agree with Dani that I am not convinced she's pregnant. I think she's trying to get pregnant but really just see's herself fading into the background and wants attention and validation from Dani and her family.
    • Thanks for sharing; the set, wow. Ten times better than the "penthouse" she lives in now (is that a surprise, though?).
    • I'd be happy to!

I just read the intro and first chapter and I'm already hooked. I know she had a co-author, but I can tell Kim is a firecracker and I'd love to have wine with her and talk sh!t haha. It makes reading the book pretty easy and entertaining. Intro - I had no idea she got a DUI! She shared 3 bottles of wine with a friend at dinner one night in LA, got in her car, was pulled over and thrown in jail overnight.  She admitted it wasn't her first time drinking and driving, but learned a valuable lesson that night. Out of the gate, she's not holding back or hiding anything. Chapter 1 - the announcement that GL was being cancelled. She was driving to Peapack and got a call from Bradley Cole who told her the news. First, that's BS that as one of the faces of GL, you hear the big news from a fellow co-star on your way to work. Granted, the "suits" were traveling to Peapack that day to tell the cast and crew, but still, seems icky. Ironically the news came on April Fools Day. Apparently that was the last day the network could decide whether to cancel or renew, but to Kim's point, couldn't they just pick the day before to avoid the callousness of the 'holiday'. Obviously a sad day in GL history. I thought it was funny, she said the one thing she thought of is "what would Susan Lucci do" in this situation, post-cancellation. And of course she said she'd "find something to hawk on the Home Shopping Network"  You all would know better than me, but part of the title of her book is "seven husbands" and in her intro, she uses Reva's full name: Reva Shayne-Lewis-Lewis-Spaulding-Lewis-Winslow-Cooper-Lewis-Lewis-O'Neill.  However, in the first chapter, she said Bradley Cole was "her 8th (or was it 9th?) husband". Well, Kim, that already contradicts the title of your book and your character's name you touted.
    • He also was following Holly May 22, 2025 per update (link to post) from @JAS0N47
    • I was incredibly moved by these scenes, especially Peter's performance. It felt so tender and real, especially when you remember Bo just got out of a years-long coma and wasn't going to be able to put up a front. You're reminded of how long these legends have populated the show when you have a 70 year old man grieving men who were almost 90 or 100, but Bo's response to Victor's death was a poignant reminder of how fresh these wounds are no matter your age. Normally these types of moments don't even make it in soap episodes in recent decades as they are seen as too boring. The more somber moments being balanced by Bo meeting his grandchildren was also lovely.  And the scene where Bo forgave Shawn may be the only time I've been in lock with Brandon Beemer's take on the part.  There's a certain element of suffocation with soaps, as shown here, when you remember so many of the kids are named after long dead relatives, or when they grew up, were paired with the kids of other longtime characters. That aspect always makes me yearn for new blood (new blood that doesn't suck, anyway), but there are other moments, like those with Bo, which make me appreciate all the history the show has.
    • A funny scene, Roger and Sonni go out to eat, at that place that had a colonial theme (I love when soaps have very specific places to eat..I hated the diners on GL, ATWT and AW) and this is just after Rog came back and Sonni hit the headlines and the waitress scremes.."Oh, Roger Thorpe, and YOUR...please dont' hurt me..." and they are all like, "Hey, were just hungry!" (most soaps now have someone go on a murder spree and the rest of the cast and extras look like they havent heard about it."
