There is one at the mall a few miles down the road from me, I always plan on going in there one day but I never do.

Yes, I love Build-A-Bear. I go there once a year or so to make a bear. I love the process, though, and naming them. I actually know someone who works at the place, but he's not really that great of a person...he stuffs the bears. It's kind of weird.

I have a Koala named Kokoa, a bear named Sophie, another bear that I got for my birthday from my sister, and a unicorn named Karen. I have all of them at school w/ me (and I sleep w/ them ) except Sophie because my sister stole her.

In 2004 my best friend and I went to the mall, I was unable to get a cat because my apartment wouldn't allow me one and I had an allegry to them, so she took me there and built me a Kitty, named Kirk!!

I love him.

I have a lion and I dressed it in a north carolina tarheels shirt and shorts with tan sandals.lol Just in time for North carolina to win the NCAA championship. Then for halloween I bought a spiderman outfit and I'm hoping to buy the batman outfit some time this year.

I haven't been there, but I did "Adopt a Bear" at the Boyd's Bears store in Gettysburg. I love that place! It's 4 stories of bears and other stuffed animals. They also have a build a bear workshop.

I've heard the bears can cost an arm and a leg. Any truth to that? Yeah, I know, it's just like pictures...you can't put a price on something like this. But I was just wondering...

The bears are like $8-$20 to build. ($8 for a simple teddy bear and then $20 for the special, limited animals.) Most bears are about $12-$15. What costs a lot are the accessories. They have like everything to put on the bears--costumes, college t-shirts, underwear, socks, shoes, roller skates, sunglasses, beds, etc. So yes, you could wind up spending a fortune on one stupid bear, but if you buy it one nice outfit it should be about $20-30 total. Most como outfits (like costumes) are $10-$15.

Of course, the bear doesn't need clothes. I didn't buy any clothes for my unicorn when I made it. And when I made second bear, I didn't have enough money to buy it an outfit, so I waited a few months until I had extra money. I don't think it minded being a nudist for the time-being.
