Paul Revere and the Raiders headlined the first concert I ever attended when I was a kid. It was one of those Dick Clark Caravan shows. The Byrds and Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels were on the bill too. And of course I watched "Where the Action Is" every day after school. Great memories. RIP Paul.

It is sad that we are losing so many of the iconic rock artists. "Kicks" was a great rock and roll song, and one of the few anti-drug songs that rock produced. It is interesting that his group's biggest hit, "Indian Reservation" (which Alphanguy posted), occurred in the 70s, when the Raiders were primarily known as a 60s group.
