Most Polarizing Characters?

The lion's share of what happened to Jessica falls on Dena Higley and Ron. Malone II started it, but that was just typical drippy heroine [!@#$%^&*] that could've been easily walked back. DID and molestation, not so much.

Yep.

Maybe this is just in hindsight based on the Internet being around now compared to when she was originally on, but OLTL's Luna Moody certainly seems to be either loved or hated by those who've seen her, with little room in between.

Yeah, I loved Luna. It never occurred to me how hated she was by some others. I'm kind of glad the internet wasn't around then. The "Maxrielle" vs. "Muna" fan wars would've been horrendous.

DAYS

Jack Devereaux

John Black

Those two are quite polarising. Those who hate them (like me) will often say they're annoying, outdated and albatrosses to their respective scene partners.

There is nothing about Melissa Reeves that has not been outdated for a good fifteen years. Starting with "oh, gosh!"

For better or worse I actually think the writers have finally transitioned the Jennifer character to a life after Jack. While Daniel has been reviled by all he has at least reset Jennifer to a template before her character eating super couple. I can now see her in other stories without the ghost of Jack looming over her, same with Marlena. Jennifer's kids maturing has also helped in this regard, just as Marlena being a sheperad to Will in his coming out story. There's a huge difference between say Jennifer and Hope in this regard. Hope is still lost in the shadow of Bo, and feels as bereft as Kayla, by her opposites absence. The tragedy of this new romance they've paired her with.
