DAYS is seeking a gorgeous, experienced African-American actress in her early 30s to play the contract role of Shauna, who is described as "upscale, professional confident and sexy. Her beauty is only matched by her intelligence and heart. She is forthcoming and authentic and captivates wherever she goes."

Holy cow... not a beautiful Caucasian?!

I feel like every soap has used this exact description to cast their black female characters. Also if DAYS is going to cast a black female they need to actually use her in a story. I'm tired of them throwing in tokens every once in awhile while all their stories go to the beautiful Caucasians.

at least they specify that she's black this time instead of saying she could be latina, indian or any other race bc they have no vision for her

I only seen her twice, she seems ok to me.

agreed. She's probably one of the better things of an otherwise lame teen scene
