Love her but I haven't really seen her in anything outside her movies so I never gave any thought to it. Yes, really. She even explained it: She was scared to be out. It has nothing to do with people being able to tell she was gay when playing a role and everything to do with the fact she couldn't admit it. Such a beautiful, heartfelt, touching speech.
