Not 100% true. The bottom line is you can't pin a bad storyline on a character not being there. That lays on the writers shoulders. The bottom line is Billy was on more than most of the characters last year so they he was involved in storylines when he needed to be.

Do you have some examples of when temp actors were brought in so the actors in the role could leave to film tv movies, web series, guest star roles, etc?

So Victoria wasn't sitting around on the couch twiddling her thumbs waiting for Billy to come home then?

Question: do you think BMs absence affected the story in any way? Are you saying his absences had zero affect?

No I don't . The storylines themselves didn't really need him in the plot while he was gone.

Relax. No one's attacking you. Like I said, enjoy him all you want (those were your words). That doesn't mean he's good and it especially doesn't mean he's one of their better actors. smile.png

It was an attack on PJA, actually, and posters don't need to "relax" when they disagree with others.

If PJA thinks Billy Miller is a good actor, fine. If others think he's lousy, fine. But just because more posters disagree doesn't make them "right." I have to laugh at posters who gang up on someone like PJA with their snark and superior knowledge about what makes good acting.

A the love of Billy's life is kidnapped because of his screw ups and he is not needed for the plot? I could see if he was in a coma or dead, then the writers can get away with not having Billy around/involved. But when he is alive and well out of town and only a phone call could/should make him come running...no.

Since when did more than one person expressing a dissenting opinion and engaging in conversation about it become a gang? I could see if dissenters were talking to each other, high fiving, and ridiculing PJA...then maybe.

It tends to get that way if you go against the majority in here, then the labels start coming lol!

Again he has good acting skills IMO.

Again, you are failing to see or consider what I am saying.

Well, unless you are having a discussion with a bunch of acting coaches, it's all going to be subjective on a message board. It's not like acting is a hard science where we can measure someones skills. Plus even people who have expertise in acting will disagree on who is good or "the best". Do we all have to post our credentials to judge acting on a message board (I took a few acting classes in college, does that count?), lest some other poster comes along and tries to act like our opinions are invalid because we are not objective, but their judgements (inevitably) are? That will get old fast.

You are taking this way, way, waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too far and seriously. Unless I specifically said one's opinions are invalid or that my judgments are (inevitably) objective, please don't say I did.

ALL I am discussing is the fact that a lot of viewers cannot differentiate between actor & character, as well as personal opinion versus actual skill. I never said anything about specific judgments or who's "better." I was just attempting to have a discussion on acting skills that was not based on "I like him, so he's good. End of. IMO." For example, I think Tom Cruise has turned in some very good performances. But I really dislike him. It's that easy.

But apparently a message board is not the place for that?

Please. Cue the violins.

Exactly. Some people are just too easily willing to play victims, acting as if any expression of disagreement is becoming a gang, and that's what gets old, fast.

And the labeling begins..............

And some are too easily ashamed of the gangsta in them, own it lol!

Well you didn't say it but I was told that I was wrong and that Billy wasn't a good actor just because I enjoyed him. I was also called confused about good acting as if I'm confused by my own opinion.

The bottom line is. Billy is a great actor. You don't agree and you don't have to but that' doesn't make either one of us wrong.

Okay...but still, where is the gang? I think more than one person can disagree with you and tell you why without it being considered a ganging up on...

Wouldn't have made the storyline any less terrible than it already was. Besides Billy was there for the kidnapping story. He was the one who gave her the insider information which caused her to go out of town. When she got kidnapped, he was the one who went to Nikki to try to get the ransomed money. He was also the one who went with to nick to save her. Not sure why you say he wasnt' there when he was.

Because his appearances were few and far in between. I am done with it. I am just ecstatic that the show has someone committed. Billy Miller wants to do other things so it is a win win for all.

I wasn't the one who said that you were ganging up on me BUT saying things like relax as if I'm upset or not allowed to express an opinion is condescending as well as being told my opinion is wrong. But don't worry, I have a thick skin.

I find myself liking Kelly more and more every day. I don't blame her for her reaction to Billy acting like she is some pariah who raped him when he is the one who chose to lay with her.
