lol. Why are you wasting time trying to make sense? Crappy just wanted another warm body to eventually walk around an entire eppy 1/2 naked. Carly is missing and presumed harmed and Bobbie has not been on in 3 eppies but Kaka has been front burner since the kidnapping? I fully expect Tony Geary is in Amsterdam as this continues so that Luke can't tell anyone what's going on. FrankenTodd will be the genius who figures it out.

I honestly took it more as Lucas being there to support his mother. Bobbie wasn't around for most of that stuff either, hence no reason for Lucas to want to show up

They're trying to sell Lucas and Carly as close siblings now and I don't buy it. I'd rather he had resentment towards her for how she ruined his father's life. He can be respectful to her bc of Bobbie, but I'd rather they didn't write it as if he really cares about her

How did Heather get Carly to Spoon Island unnoticed? She would have driven her across town without being noticed and [!@#$%^&*] get on a boat.

I actually enjoyed Lucas / Julian / Sam and Cam / Emma / Spencer. The rest is absolute [!@#$%^&*] which i FFed through.

I guess that's the theory we have to go with, but even that has it's major holes. Bobbie's absence during those storylines was glaring. Especially because Bobbie was still living in PC at that time.

In April 2010 we had a scene of Bobbie and Alexis talking about Kristina's abuse, which was a nice nod to history. Then in July of that year we got that stupid scene of Bobbie with Ethan and Maya which led nowhere and added nothing. Yet in the months between those two scenes we had Chad Duell debut, and Michael's trial/sentencing take place, yet Bobbie was nowhere to be found or heard from.

Then only a few months later we had the BJ's heart redux which, no matter WHO the children were, should have involved Bobbie, because of her history. But the fact that she was completely absent despite being related to both children was completely ludicrous.

Now, granted, these issues aren't Ron's fault, as he wasn't writing the show yet. The poor follow up, however, is. All the sudden 3 years later Bobbie pops up and we find out she's been living in Seattle. That's fine, but it's not an explanation. People move all the time and don't completely abandon their families.

The least Ron should have done was give us some explanation as to why she had been absent. Hell, he could have given us a throwaway line or two implying that she WAS there for those things, even if we didn't see her. But instead we now have Bobbie being able to hop on a plane ANY time she's needed, which is how it should be, but where's the explanation as to why she couldn't do it before? Why is Bobbie able to fly in for Robin's wedding but not to see her dying granddaughter?

Now don't get me wrong - I'm thrilled to have Bobbie back. But this is just another example of Ron's inconsistent and lazy writing. He expects us to just be grateful that he brought an old favorite back and not notice the glaring holes in the story.

I really don't think RC needs to explain away what the previous writers f-ed up. The glaring holes you mention aren't his doing and aren't part if his writing with Bobbie. I don't think there's been anything inconsistent with her off the top of my head. She's been used sparingly but effectively.

He absolutely does if there are things that need to be cleared up. Bobbie's absence was questioned by audiences for a long time and having her return is great but without an explanation as to where she's been, it's half-assed. I'm not saying he needed to devote a storyline to it, as I said, a couple of throwaway lines would have sufficed.

It's about more than just this situation. The problem, as a whole, is that Ron doesn't know how (or doesn't care) to round characters out. He brings them in, does what he wants/needs with them, and then moves on his way. Characters aren't fleshed out and seemingly have no motivation for their actions, other than to move story along.

She's been in Seattle. That was the explanation for where she was when people were miffed that she wasn't showing up when they all live in the same town. You say a throwaway line would suffice but they did that and it still doesn't seem like enough

I think part of the problem is the cast is so big so not all of them are on contract. This leads to actors like TR and KM leaving when they get ready (although Im not sure if KM had a contract this last time or not). If these actors can't commit then they shouldn't bring them back.

Again that's only part of the problem as some of the blame does have to go to the writers.

But what I'm saying is that's not a real explanation. It's a classic Ron cop-out in order to avoid writing something logical. And Bobbie was in town for some of those events, like I pointed out. We saw her before and after working at GH still, but not during the story.

I don't know what you expect him to say to that then. Bobbie flat out admit that she just didn't care to be bothered with Carly's issues? If Bobbie was in town and not seen then I think we as an audience are just left to assume she was involved off camera.
