Tuc is staring so hard at Josh. Look at the 2nd pic again. Ya'll. He's staring Josh up and down. LOL.

Can you blame him? Josh is too good not to look at

I wish people would stop reading into where the actors are positioned...

Next everyone will be talking about Viki and Destiny's hot lesbian love affair.

I think it would depend on if it made sense to a character. I don't think people would like characters being essentially created to bring on a P&G veteran. Of course I agree with you that there were many fine P&G actors, and I would add many in the younger generation as well.

I think Kim Zimmer would be a candidate to return to OLTL since she was just on it. How do you feel about that?

Kim Zimmer on her own, I would be OK, if she actually had a story.

As for the rest, if you have someone like Maureen Garrett or Maeve Kinkead to play out a story (if she was willing or available), I'd say go for it. It's not like she'd be dominating the show.

Don't give these new writers any ideas. They might consider it since it's online

Personally, I was hoping Zimmer would come back.

Would love to see Maureen Garrett too, but frankly I'm greatful for who is back now.

I'd rather see Shelly Burch back as Delilah Ralston and bring her daughter Sami

Like I was saying upthread, the OLTL picture is particularly random with the exception of Viki being center. She's got Destiny and Cutter on either side of her, her own daughter way over on the left (next to Blair, at that). It's just a matter of what makes for a striking, balanced picture.

I thought Zimmer did a lot of interesting work as Echo in the last run, although they seemed to lose all focus with the character.

Some soaps used to have a system where a lot of great actors would get to work for a while, then leave, maybe come back, maybe not. A lot of soap legends. Edge of Night, for instance, which meant once very popular actors like Lori March, who are mostly unknown to today's public, got a little chance to act again. If OLTL/AMC are popular enough to stay on, that's something I'd enjoy seeing. There are so many wonderful out of work soap actors. New talent is important too, but I think there could be a mix.

That's kind of what ATWT did in its final two years. It was guest spots for campy villains of the month, using out of work actors from other shows. It didn't work for me.

I lost interest in Echo when she kidnapped Dorian and Sam got her with silly string

Not to be crude, but ATWT sucked a lot of ass in its final 10-15 years, so I'm not suggesting we follow their path.

IMO ATWT was one of the best soaps on the air the last few years it was on, even at it's worst it wasn't as bad as GH or OLTL or AMC or Days, etc

It's hard for me to see how it would work. ATWT did it particularly badly but in part it was a limitation of the idea itself. Bringing on actors for a guest arc, having them establish and then break off ties with the canvas, how would that work? Why would the audience invest in the characters? OLTL isn't an anthology series like Edge of Night.

ATWT was good from 2005 up until Chris Whitesell left in late 2007, then it fell apart for most of the remaining time except for brief flashes of multigenerational story and other short-lived brilliance. They did the youth cast (Casey, Allison, Parker, Liberty before she was recast) well up until the end too.
