WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

Positives, that Dorian is a member of the cast since she wasn't on last year's version of OLTL 2.0. Diversity, multi-generational tapestry.

Negatives, not a David fan and especially not a David and Dorian fan but will keep an open mind that new writers will at least make me more tolerant. I also hope to see more edgy storytelling. Not sure if there are enough edgy characters. I wanted more new characters, who could spice things up and I really, really, miss RJ.

Yep, and that's one of the higher priced ones....lol. In the last few years, some have been $2 and others have been $3. Of all the times not to have a credit card.....lol.

Maybe they have more casting calls to be releases to be released.

They're on the breakdown services which aren't available to the public. If they're having trouble casting a role, they might put the breakdown on sites like Actors Access or NYCastings where actors without representation can directly submit themselves. We can also put two and two together if they put the audition sides up on Showfax, like you said.

LOL...yeah it would. And it wouldn't be the first time that they have done that with these scripts.

If they're recasting Destiny I have to wonder if they'll choose an actress that is curvy like Shanelle or if they'll make her another generic stick. A light skinned, generic stick.

Simple math - Darnell, Debbi and Vincent are all in their 50s, and given that Jesse and Angie were on in the early 80's as teens even their characters would realistically be early 50s. As Tad would be if he is indeed signed. The question is will they have any characters 60+ like OLTL, and will they be contract or recurring? I could see them trying for recurring with the 60+ on AMC.

I also don't want to see the senior set sexing it up in the bedroom, but I would be perfectly fine with the characters being very affectionate with each other. That would be very sweet to see.

But there's a difference between breakdowns for roles that CDs will release to public sites (typically smaller roles) and the breakdowns that are only LEGALLY available to agents. Folks get illegal access to the breakdowns and share that information (usually for a buck, but now folks are more generous). They're not gonna recast Viki or Tina on some rando website. Information like that would have been shared illegally.

Can you imagine getting a pop up ad on Facebook from www.futuresoapsuperstars.com telling you they want YOU!!! to be the next Victoria Lord?

I liked Rama and Vimal together, much moreso than when she was chasing Cristian, but I can't blame them for necessarily cutting her loose from him a year later on a revived show. She's the character that popped. It's a question of how you write her, and I don't see why someone else shouldn't have a shot. It was the way Carlivati handled her on her own that didn't work, not the premise itself.

The same goes for Cutter, who was most appealing because of Josh Kelly's performance moreso than much of the pretty boilerplate "sexy schemer" writing per se. He was charming and elevated a lot of his material, but he did have some good stuff here and there. I hope that's not a recast but IMO there wouldn't be a point to that. Just create a new character instead with a better foundation.

Agreed. I wouldn't want Cutter and Rama back unless Josh Kelly and Shenaz Treasury are playing them.
