EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

The daily rate minimums for broadcast Daytime Serials thru @AFTRA that are in effect until the current contract ends in 2014.

#SAGAFTRA & #PP came to terms on a contract for #TOLN's #AMC & #OLTL. Spec is that the these minimum daily rates will mirror those of a 30 min daily serial on broadcast televiion.

The first number is the rate as of Nov 2012 & the second is what the rate will be in Nov 2013

which means those three on GH would be taking a pretty big pay cut, i don't see any of them doing PP

Those are just minimums. If they do OLTL itll be short term & if they do Im sure they will ask for what GH pays them currently for those OLTL episodes

I'd rather PP spend the money on something else--like more than one set, etc.

Saw that but its nothing new really well except some publications make it sound like the characters and actors will be back on OLTL briefly. Maybe PP & ABC worked it out to share the characters/actors.

yeah im sure all will be worked out. I know some dont like me bringing up Nelson here but he told SoapCentral Live that PP has been planning these revivals since summer 2012.. If true I dont see this development as a big surprise to anyone & IMHO its being blown way out of porportion

well I don't think cheap ABCD will do that, LOL I just don't see how this will work, I think the three are either gone from GH or made new characters ( I can see this with Michael Easton as I don't see another pairing for Kelly Monaco set up, unlike Carly with AJ and the Caleb story they are telling)

ABC still owns these soaps, so it would behoove them to help make PP's revivals as successful as they can cause itll mean good money back to ABC for the next 15 years

ABC's not gonna do that unless Disney makes them, IMO. Which it might.
