EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

I feel Agnesis legitimately consulting--she's on the payrole--but I agree she won't be HW even at first (I could see her helping with the set up though).

And yea--B&B (even if I largely hate the writing) has, what, four writers? I always laugh when I see the huge list of writers on the DAYS credits.

B&B actually has a large writing staff: Brad Bell, Jack Smith (dialogue, too), Kay Alden, Michael Minnus and Patrick Mulcahy all work on the outline. Plus, all the dialogue writers.

I think if they can get Susan to agree to guest appearances, the AMC reboot could still work. If they can't get her at all - and at this stage in her life and career I can't blame her for just being done with this stuff - that is more of a problem, but if they could work out something, instead of shaking her down...

I will scream - I really will - if OLTL actually brings Billy Douglas back. I have wanted this for years and there is so much story to tell, especially with a strong Joey recast and if Wortham Krimmer agrees to make appearances as Andrew.

I don't think it will happen, but let me have that moment.

thanks so I am gathering ABC and PP have come to some deal ( I guess they stay on GH but make appearances on PP), but the actors have to agree to that and sign it first, is that correct? All of this is so confusing

I dunno if it has to be a contract with PP but maybe agree to recur/guest apperances. Is that in the ball-park Errol?

The actors are under contract with ABC. The characters they play are licensed to Prospect Park. The actors can't be forced to appear on another show (web or otherwise), unless they want to. That's my understanding.

So PP & ABC are working on a deal to use KA ME & RH on OLTL but let them stay on GH as Starr, John & Todd

Sounds like to me that ABC & PP are trying to reach a mutually satisfactory agreement

I just think what PP is doing is so wrong, it was not the actors' fault they couldn't get their act together a year ago, they moved their families across the country, now PP is basically firing them, it has turned me off PP big time, i doubt I will watch now
