EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

Eric Kane, now there's a character that could have been handled SO much better. The father of the most famous soap character in history, and they fouled him up. His bootleg Victor Lord final revelations were crap.

Any one have info regarding Star Jon and Todd? Do they belong to ABC or PP?

ALso my fear is with out the same team OLTL had that made it become so main stream the last few years is no longer their. I hope all involed can make it work. I for one will be watching just to see the new writers work. Never saw either in ation but heard of both.

Agreed. I'm fine with the rape story--but having him sell his daughter, etc. BLA BLA BLA. (and they did forget he ever was a clown, right? )

I think Schemering accused GH during his time of being a superhero comic book, lol, so yeah...

I dunno, I think mot OLTL fans think a change in direction for the show (even the biggest RC fans) is a good thing at this point...

I had no idea Racina wrote (and created?) the Canadian/German soap Family Passions. All I remember of it is it seemed really boring--and I always found it odd that it was Canadian but had a number of American soap faces on it like Shriner. He also did the shortlived Prisoner remake, Dangerous Women http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Family_Passions Has anyone read his books? I know one formed the basis for the Ice Princess story.

I think he'll fit great at OLTL though, especially with Horgan. They should (hopefully) balance each other out and their friends in real life.

The stuff he and Susan Bedsow Horgan share about Douglas Marland on their Brandon's Buzz appearance is pretty interesting.....

I don't think they can go back with Viki's abuse. What I want to see is serious addressing of the Viki character. She has been depressingly passive for years now. If she is on PP, then they can show a little more of her full life - the Banner, or focusing on stories. I also want to see her cut ties with Clint. A woman with Viki's history of abuse being with a man who terrorized children and was fine with Nora almost being raped makes no sense to me. Jessica is a monster - she said that she let Tess out to do damage (including almost killing several people and killing her unborn child) because she herself wanted to do this. Jessica should not be on this reboot at all, IMO, at least not for a while (if this is a success...hell, if it happens at all).

Frankly, I would give Jessica the Melody Anderson treatment. I would recast the role and give the actress no dual (multiple) roles to play. Not for a long while. I would sort of "cleanse" the character.

Yeah, that was bizarre. I didn't picture him like that at all. He truly sounds like an Adam Chandler or Asa Buchanan with the guard dogs and all.

Same here. I think Erin is their best bet with Jessica. There was to much damage done under Bree's time and Tess, Bess, Wes, their all played out and don't need to be seen for a long, long time.

This is Susan and Thom opportunity to revolutionize these shows. Very much in the way OLTL was when Gotlieb and Malone were at the helm in the early to mid 90's. Horgan was apart of that era and Racina was apart of GH's golden era. It's time to take OLTL and bringing it back to that quality, but with a modern and sophisticated update.

This is the perfect time to bring the Wolek's back....Bring Michael Park or Mark Collier on as Danny, get Michael Storm back for a few apperances..make Jenny alive..Heck bring Wanda on for a guest spot.

I am so glad that Susan Bedsow Horgan and Thom Racina will be HW'ing OLTL 2.0 that I honestly have no "wish lists," per se, for the show. I just want PP to allow them enough space to do whatever they need to and do it to the best of their capabilities.
