Members Antoyne
EJ's age will always annoy me. He was literally born after EVERY legacy character born in the late 80's and 90's still on the canvas, and is now older than most or the same age as the others... Members BoldBeauty
Mike Horton was very much SORASED on DOOL back in 1970s. Was born 1968, was already about 17 when Susan Flannery (Laura) left the show in 1975.
Members dragonflies
Same here! He's even older than Will who was born BEFORE him
Members Michael
I don't mind SORASing in the sense of speeding up -- like when a kid is supposed to be 12 in real time, maybe them 16-17. That works fine for me. But it drives me nuts, like others have said, when it's done out of order, or when they SORAS a kid whose birth completely throws off the timeline of another story point in the past. Like it became insane to reference how Sami sold Belle on the black market when Belle was an infant, because Sami was only about 5 years older than her! Members Titus Andronicus
Nikki Alamain had a similar jump as E.J. He was a playmate of Shawn-Douglas and a few years later was an adult banging Kate while Belle, Shawn, etc. were still teens. Abby was de-SORASed at least once. She was born on the show the same year as Brady. I think Stephanie Johnson is one of the few to remain close to her actual age, not counting Carrie (who was SORASed between Christie Clark's stints). Mike Horton keeps getting younger. And, during one of the period of time Hope was believed to be dead, Bo or someone went to her grave. Her year of birth read 1964 instead of the on-show 1974. Members Antoyne
Nicholas ended up DESORASED when he returned for Carly's exit last year
Members frequentsoapfan
I thougth desorasing Abby was pointless after we watched her college years all to fit into the lame current young adult scene. I missed Nick's recent return but I am familiar with the actor who played him last and yeah they desorased him.
Members Michael
I'm glad they deSORASed Nicholas for this last appearance, only because they seemed to be going out of their way not to deal with him for a while because they clearly didn't know how to reconcile Crystal Chappell's age with having a son who was old enough to have been with Kate years before. Abigail was 14 in the fall of 2004, and then when they recast Chelsea, they aged them up to 18, but Ashley Benson was still like 15 playing a college student. Then they were magically 21 not long after that. It was really sloppy aging all around. What's annoying is that they deSORASed her when they cast Kate Mansi, but now if Stephanie or Chelsea ever reappear, the ages are all screwed up, because Melanie was supposed to be younger than them and they were supposed to be Abby's age. [My head just exploded.] Shawn D. was aged pretty well, I thought. He was born in 1987 and made 15-16 in 1999. Then they sped those kids through college too fast, and as much as I liked Brandon Beemer, he looked sort of ridiculous as Kristian Alfonso's son. But Shawn should be 25 this year, and he's probably around 30 in canon, which isn't bad at all.
Members frequentsoapfan
Lol I thought AB was older than 22 she looked around the same age as Chelsea and Stefanie back then and I didn't pay attention to any of the actresses ages. Members Michael
Ashley Benson is actually only 22 or 23 now! So she was really playing up back then. I don't get why they couldn't have just had Abigail come back as ambiguously post-college age, like Melanie seems to be. She could even have been a grad student, if they wanted her to wind up being Austin's TA.
