I just remember a lot floating around out there claiming that she was a Soleito and they were going to try her out with everyone. Not possible with Kristina.

KSJ retweeted this. I guess he's just sick of the whole thing.

Other than GL, it's not like any of the shows Jill inherited had a healthy minority presence.

GL had a great contingent, and even when Curlee and company left, she still used the Grant's and Hamp. Maybe not to their best potential, but a lot better than McTavish and Rauch did.

OLTL was trying to build up their black presence in the 6 months or so before she came in, although you're right about AW and GL (and she did introduce Chris Madison to AW, who was a good character). I think the OLTL stuff and all the murders on GH might have left a bad taste.

Right, and who was the main younger leading man during her years at GL? Monti Sharp, who won multiple Emmy's during that time.

I don't think Jill has the same contempt for minority characters that Rauch and Guza have.

Because he had it that good with MAB? LMAO.

I find it very stupid of him to retweet this since JFP hasn't even started yet.

If he's trying to get on Jill's sh!t list from the start, he's doing a good job.

Once there, he'll be lucky if his contract cycle is further extended...

Why would JFP be solely responsible for the piss poor job done with black character over the history of Daytime? Not a fan of hers at all, but she is/was only following suit. Jill could arrive on any of the remaining shows or any show from the last 10/15 years and easily write out the black characters because there is no story for them or its a story where no one cares - not even the black audience. Black characters don't take part in any meaty stories and their long absences from the screen don't have to be explained. Is this solely on a show that Jill has produced? It is not. The only black character who has ever been given any meat was Victoria Rowell, and you simply can't help but write for her because her presence will dominate almost any scene. Her exit left a void that has yet to be filled on YR. While Jill is a hack, she's only keeping in line with what has transpired in Daytime since forever!

I will give credit to ATWT when they had 3 black men front and center. It was a good year for the bruthas. Unfortunately, all 3 were written out w/in a year. I stopped watching. Can't remember the year, but we had Real Andrews, Lamman Rucker and the guy who Margo was lusting after (I believe he was a former pro ball player named Doc). The story of she and Jessica, best friends who are both married, lusting after the same man was all sorts of gold. It was scrapped and he was gone only so that Jessica can be date raped by a guy she was perhaps dating. Sorry chit, I tell yah! Not sure what happen to force such quick changes, but I was devastated.

So if we are going to slam JFP, let's slam her for her work alone and not the oppression of blacks on Daytime. Don't hate the player...hate the game!

He also belittled MAB yesterday. So I wonder if he's just waiting to get fired at this point.

I completely agree JFP isn't the only one. I think it's kind of ridiculous that she gets focus for this but MAB, our saviors "Cartini", Corday, etc. don't. JFP is just more of a flashpoint I guess. I think some of it also goes back to OLTL, which had a black girl go nuts and get shipped off to prison a few months into JFP's tenure, and later had a white cop (one of the show's leading heroes) beat a black character to a pulp, and use police connections to get out of it.

He has good reason to belittle MAB. Neil's stories were a huge WTF ever since Dru left.

He is digging himself a grave as far as his Y&R life goes.

To Jill's credit at OLTL, she kept and used RJ and Hank, when she could have just as easily tossed them aside as later regimes did.
