I really enjoyed Max's funeral on Hollyoaks. And Becca's, which is fully up on YT.

The main complaint I had with Frank's is I felt it was just too self-involved, the show acting as a parody of itself (the awful scenes of Peggy and Pat slapping each other).

I liked Dennis' funeral, mostly for Letitia Dean's agonizing performance.

As everything in the first generation of Skins usually was, Chris' funeral was truly original.

Arthur Fowler probably had the best EastEnders funeral, though Michelle was obviously noticeably absent.

Pauline probably had one of the worst funerals I have ever seen in my life on soaps. You could tell there was hate between the show and Wendy Richard by that point. It's just too sad that Wendy herself died not too long after her exit. Pauline deserved better, even if she was an unwatchable beast by the end.

Den's funeral is great camp for the Peggy and Chrissie showdown.

What was the excuse used for Michelle being absent? Did the show try and get her back?

I just can't with the Pauline funeral. She is my favourite EE character ever who underwent the biggest character assassination in history.

At the time, she was heavily pregnant with Mark Fowler, Jr. (a product of her one-night stand/hate sex with Grant Mitchell that has yet to be revealed to the Mitchell's or Sharon), so she couldn't fly.

There's blame on both sides really, as she got older, it seemed Wendy wanted Pauline to be more and more like herself. But the character deserved a lot better, as Pauline was more fundamental to the establishment/grain of the show more than any other character.

Ethel's funeral was also great, and took place the day the Slater's arrived in 2000. Yet, strangely, neither plotline detracted from each other and intertwined.
